On the previous chapter...

"What's going on?" I asked, my voice steady but firm.
She shook her head, holding up a hand as if to ward me off. "Jacques, I need you to stay where you are. I'm coming to get you."

She ended the call and turned to me, her expression a mixture of anger and fear. "I have to go."

"Go where?"  I raise my eyebrow.

"Jacques needs me."

"What's wrong with him?"  I ask, she is behaving as if he is 12 years old.

"I don't know," she snapped. "He's... he's not himself. He's saying things that don't make sense, talking in circles. I think he's having some kind of breakdown."

"Okay". I stepped closer. "We will go".
Her eyes narrowed. "This isn't your business."

"Everything that involves you is my business."

She opened her mouth to argue but closed it again, realizing it was pointless. "Fine. Call your men".

"Where is he?" I hurry into the house.

"Relax Princess". Seth puts his hands around my shoulders. "First tell me how your vacation went".

I raise my eyebrow up in confusion.

"He is alright". Seth answered before I could ask anything.

"Don't tell me that you guys joked around?" I was getting annoyed.

If my vacation ended so quickly because of these suckers, I would shave them bald while they are sleeping.

"Not really". Divine pushed her brother away and opened her arms.

I hugged her tightly. "I missed you".
"I missed you too". She leans her head into mines.

"What is actually going on?" Federico's deep voice behind me came closer.

He stood next to me as divine and I pulled apart.

Seth opened up his mouth. "You shut it". Federico immediately said and turned his attention to Divine. "Speak up".

He is always so demanding.

Divine cleared her throat. "He is having one of his breakdowns again".

Again?!

"How bad was it?" I ask her.
She shrugs. "It just started a couple days ago-".

"And you didn't call me sooner?" I question.
"They didn't want to ruin your vacation". Chrysanthe joined the room.

Great.

"It's my brother we are speaking about". I remind them.

If Jacques has one of his breakdowns, it's not good. He won't talk to anyone. His only solution is to drink. He started with an early age, it wasn't even legal in Europe to drink at that age.
