_________________The moonlight filtered softly into Sally's bedroom as Y/N gently tucked her daughter into bed. She pulled the blankets snug around her and leaned down to kiss her forehead. "Goodnight, sweetheart," she whispered, smoothing the child's hair away from her face.
"Goodnight, Mommy," Sally mumbled sleepily, her tiny voice melting Y/N's heart.
Y/N smiled warmly as she stood and quietly left the room, closing the door behind her. She made her way to her own room, exhaustion washing over her like a heavy wave. She changed into her favorite soft pajamas and slid into bed, curling up beneath the cozy layers of blankets.
Her mind, however, refused to rest. The events of the day kept replaying, specifically him. Y/N groaned softly, burying her face into the pillow. "What an asshole," she muttered under her breath, the memory of Gojo's surprise visit at her door stirring an irritation she couldn't shake.
She turned over, willing herself to push the thoughts aside. You can't let him get to you, she reminded herself. Gradually, her body relaxed, and her breathing evened out as she drifted into a deep sleep.
The soft glow of morning sunlight spilled through the curtains when Y/N's alarm clock buzzed faintly at 6:58 a.m. She groaned, cracking one eye open to glare at the clock. For a brief moment, she considered hitting snooze and staying in bed.

But she knew better. Responsibility awaited.Dragging herself out of bed, Y/N padded to the bathroom, took a quick shower, and brushed her teeth. As she dried her hair, her gaze drifted to her Jujutsu High uniform hanging neatly in her closet. She stared at it for a moment before muttering, "So outdated," and instead pulled out a casual but comfortable outfit: dark jeans and a simple blouse.
Feeling more awake, she made her way to Sally's room. The child was still sound asleep, her small figure curled up under the covers. Y/N smiled softly before gently shaking her shoulder. "Morning, sleepyhead. Time to get up," she said.
Sally yawned and blinked groggily, her bright eyes slowly focusing on her mother. "Okay, Mommy," she mumbled, stretching her little arms.
While Sally began getting dressed, Y/N headed to the kitchen, determined to make a hearty breakfast. She decided on pancakes, bacon, and eggs, the comforting smell soon filling the entire house. As she worked, she couldn't help but feel a flicker of pride at how smoothly her routine with Sally was going.

Minutes later, Sally bounded down the stairs, her hair slightly messy but her smile wide. "Smells so good!" she exclaimed, climbing onto her chair at the table.
Y/N chuckled and placed a plate in front of her. "Eat up, sweetie."
Sally didn't need to be told twice. She dug into the pancakes eagerly, syrup dripping from her fork as she hummed with delight. Y/N sat across from her with her own plate, but she found herself only picking at the food. Her mind wandered, doubts creeping in.
Am I doing a good job as a parent? she wondered, watching Sally happily munch away. She shook the thought off quickly, focusing instead on the clock on the wall.
It was 7:50, and Y/N realized she was a little behind schedule. She grabbed her phone, hoping to secure a babysitter for the day.
_______________
The first person she called was Nanami."Hello?" his steady voice answered.
"Hey, Nanami," Y/N said, trying not to sound too desperate. "Could you babysit Sally today? I've got work."
Nanami sighed, his tone apologetic. "Sorry, I can't. I'm working at Jujutsu High all day."
"Oh," Y/N replied, disappointment evident in her voice. "That's okay. Thanks anyway. Have a good day."
After hanging up, she sat at the table, biting her lip. Babysitters weren't exactly easy to come by, and Sally wasn't a typical child. But then, a sudden idea struck her.
She dialed another number, her heart racing slightly. The phone rang a few times before a familiar voice answered.
"Hello?" Utahime's voice came through, sounding slightly confused.
"Hey, Utahime!" Y/N greeted nervously. "So, uh... could you babysit for me today?"
There was a long pause. "Wait... you have a kid?"
Y/N laughed awkwardly. "Yep. Long story, but yes."
Utahime was silent for another moment before she hesitantly asked, "With Gojo?"
"Ew, no!" Y/N practically gagged at the thought.
Utahime snickered on the other end. "Just kidding. Alright, I'll help. I'll be over soon."
Relief washed over Y/N. "Thank you so much! I owe you big time."

Utahime arrived shortly after, her hair slightly disheveled and her expression curious. Y/N opened the door, smiling nervously.
"So... where's the kid?" Utahime asked, stepping inside.
Y/N gestured to the living room, where Sally was playing quietly with her toys. "Utahime, this is Sally."
Utahime stopped in her tracks, her eyes widening in shock as she took in the small child. "Wait... she's... half-curse?!"
Y/N scratched the back of her neck sheepishly. "Yeah. I found her a while ago and decided to take her in."
"Y/N," Utahime whispered harshly, glancing around as if someone might overhear. "If the higher-ups find out—"
"I know," Y/N cut her off, her voice firm. "But I trust you, Utahime. Please."
Utahime sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "You're insane, you know that?"
Y/N grinned, pulling her friend into a tight hug. "Thank you, Utahime. I owe you."
Utahime stiffened at first but eventually returned the hug. Her gaze shifted to Sally, who was now staring up at her with wide, curious eyes.
"Hi, Auntie Utahime!" Sally said cheerfully, her smile lighting up the room.
Utahime blinked, startled. "A-Auntie?"
Y/N stifled a laugh. "Looks like you've got a new title."
Utahime rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress the small smile tugging at her lips. She crouched down, looking at Sally closely. "You're a cute one, I'll give you that."
Sally giggled. "Thank you, Auntie!"
Utahime sighed dramatically but smiled warmly. "Alright, kiddo. Let's see what kind of trouble we can get into today."
Y/N laughed softly, her heart feeling a little lighter as she watched them interact. For the first time in a while, things felt like they were falling into place.
