Adnaan Sat looking out the window of the observation room, The view was high up in the mountain, the beautiful majestic view was totally lost on the young Elfling, who appeared to be lost in his own thoughts. The vision weighed heavy on him as we still tried to discect the thoughts and jumbled images he saw.
He had worked on the new weapon through the day with limited success. He knew what he needed but was having a tough time bringing it to focus. The other thoughts kept creeping into his focus too. His bride to be, That mysterious hall?
His thoughts were interrupted by his friends entry in the lounge. He smiled as they walked in and got up to greet them. Speron reached him first hugging him deeply and giving him a kiss.
"Thank god your all right you guys" he said as he hugged Emily, Then as he turned to Rathamin, the two paused awkwardly, then a brief hug as Rathamin said im glad we're all ok.
Rathamin sighed and moved towards the large window, He stood in wonder of the complexities of the world in front of him, as he watched a large bird in the distance, soaring gracefully, he looked up, seeing the silhouette of the immense orbiting space station, he was awe struck by the balance. Life here, life above. He was brought back to the hear and now as Speron pluncked herself in a nearby chair with an oomph.
Speron let the chair take in her weight as she said with a sigh, "Ok, where are we supposed to go from here?" "You have the dagger, with my assistance, aren't we done?
Adnaan, sat on the end of Speron's chair, "No, I don't think so, Finistoria showed me a vision, a group of them actually, my dad is alive, and I saw some...wonderous things, but I saw us, all of us, standing against an approaching enemy." He paused, careful of what he was deciding to tell his friends. "I'm sorry I'm still sorting it all out.
Emily sat in the chair opposite Speron, "Well not all our chosen tasks have come out or come true. Adnaan hasn't made the special weapon, that we know of, she paused, I haven't done what I'm here for I don't think."
Rathamin turned and nodded, "No, were not done, I feel that already, though what is to come I have no idea, but I know a fight is coming. "So I guess we better figure out how to be ready.
Adnaan looked at Rathamin, "Wait, the dagger? May I see it?
Rathamin shrugged, and reached back and presented the dagger to Adnaan.
Adnaan reached out gently to take it in his hands, he admired the sleek lines and designs as he took it in his hands. He noticed the red gem in the middle and it began to glow.
Adnaan gasped, he looked up at Rathamin, eyes as red as the gem in the dagger, Rathamin grabbed Adnaan by the shoulders, Adnaan's flashbacks returned, more vivid this time. In his minds eye he saw the dagger, the origin. The artist that created the dagger. An artist, Adnaan thought to himself, why an artist? He watched through the vision as crude molten was poured, solidifying into the blade, The hilt was carved with ancient symbols. a prayer for victory from the ancients.
Adnaan watched as the artist, took the dagger, he added the gem, a deep red garnet, to the center of the hilt. fastening it. He took the dagger to an old crude table, there sat a much larger weapon, a sword, long slightly curved blade, with a deep hilt, gold and silver that was open in half. The dagger was set inside the sword, the artist closed the sword up, and Adnaan noticed the sword in its completion. The hilt, long and also decorated in an an ancient design. an incantation for power and strength. In the middle sat a deep blue gem and the sides of the top of the hilt were sculpted wings, Adnaan noticed the style and type of wings in the sculpture, they were Rathamin's.
The artist picked up the sword as the two gems met, the two together began to glow a deep purple color. "Yes I see it" Rathamin said as the artist looked at him. Adnaan noticed the artist immediatly. "Ro can" he said shocked. Then looked at the sword again. From the corner of his vision he noticed someone else came into view. "Finistoria?"
