Rathamin felt restless, a restlessness he had been all to familiar with. A fight was coming, he thought. They were coming to kill him and his friends. Rathamin shifted his weight in the large bed. adjusting the blanket.

He was not relishing the prospect of another battle. Hadn't he been though enough? He thought to himself. Suddenly angry with himself, He pushed that thought away. That's not going to help anything he thought. Besides, he would do whatever he had to do to protect the Ovion, the Centrys, and his friends.

Rathamin sat up on the bed. turned on the bedside lantern, he unfolded his wings and stretched. as he looked out the window he surmised the time about 5 hours after start of day. "Too early" he said aloud with a sigh

The door buzzed, "Unlock" Rathamin said. Emily stepped through the door, two steaming cups in her hand. "Hey there" she said. "You couldn't sleep either" she said with her usual warm smile.

"Not much" Rathamin sighed, "Lots on my mind"

"Know what you mean" Emily said as she handed Rathamin one of the cups.

Rathamin took a sip, the rich flavor of the coffee assaulting his senses in the best way.  Pausing, he closed his eyes and took in the aroma deeply.  When he opened them he saw Emily looking at him in the eyes regarding the large Dragonian, looking almost more through him then at him. He hid a slight smile, "What"?

Emily took a sip, "Is it going to be that bad, she paused. "You know, when they come"?

"Naw, I don't think so" Rathamin lied sarcastically.

"Wow, Emily said as she sipped from her cup, eyes wide, "your so bad at that" she scowled as she looked over at Rathamin's weapons and armor, then back at Rathamin.

Rathamin followed her gaze, then looked back, "It wont be easy" he said slowly, "you should make sure your weapons are ready, have Adnaan get them ready.

Emily chuckled, "you think Adnaan hasn't got them ready already?"

"Of course he has" he said as the door buzzed again.  "Yes"

The door opened and Finistoria swept in gracefully. The Basso smiled and bowed to Emily, "Can I have a word with Rathamin?"

Emily looked at the two in turn, "Um, of course" she said with her usual bubbly personality as she excused herself.

As the door closed, Rathamin regarded Finistoria suspiciously, "Everything ok?"

Finistoria sat in the chair, "No, she said with a pause "Rathamin, I've.. been around for a long time and I've experienced a great many things."

Rathamin could tell that Finistoria was truly worried. "Are you all right"?

Finistoria took a deep breath, "I have the ability to see things yet to come, except I've never been able to see beyond the second sunrise from today."

"Tomorrow? I believe Emily called it?"

"Up on your human speak," Finistoria smiled, "Ok yes tomorrow, my ability wont go past tomorrow, I think I don't survive beyond that".

Rathamin could tell she was understandably shaken by the confession. "Finistoria, he paused thoughtfully, "I'm not sure any of us are. I don't know what the size of force coming but I can guess that Ro'can will be sending enough to make an impact."

Finistoria reached for Rathamin's coffee, Rathamin passed it to her and she took a deep sip, Rathamin knew what was coming next he wasn't going to like, "Ro'can will stop at nothing to get the dagger.  He hasn't been trying this long to give up now. He has to possess it in order to keep the clans in line. If he can, he will kill us all and take the dagger for his own control of the clans, claiming it was given to him by the Ancients themselves, for him to lead."
