What happened to Taylor's brothers? (The Human and Their Mates)

~Third Person POV~

(Excerpt from CH. 24, right after Taylor Turns)

"Good afternoon, Alpha." Jax says, bowing his head slightly. "It's nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you, too, Pup. You can just call me AJ like Taylor and Ethan do. You're one of Shay's Mates, which makes you my son. I don't require my family to call me by my title." He smiles warmly at the new Wolf. "Taylor is nearby, yes?"

"Yes, sir. They agreed to let me talk to you. I also figured now would be a good time to explain to everyone how I came to be." Jax smiles. Ethan sits on the couch next to Shay and Jax. "So, first things first. It's going to be slightly uncomfortable. Especially for you two." He looks at Ethan and Shay, who share a confused look. He takes a deep breath. "It is true that Taylor was a human. But that's not all they were. They were originally a Wolf, but their awareness of it was bound due to childhood trauma. As for how I came back... Boys, take a deep breath." Jax teases, as AJ looks at him with amusement. "I'm sure you know that the three of us are sexually active with each other. And, well... Things can get a bit kinky sometimes." He chuckles as his Mates groan uncomfortably.

Wait a second... You were awakened because I had kept their cum inside me for a while?! Taylor shrieks.

Jax can't help but burst out in laughter. The three men look at him with confused expressions. "Sorry, Taylor just put the pieces together." Jax takes a deep breath. "So, what I was saying before. Since our body has an IUD, it wasn't a pregnancy risk to... hold it. But in doing so, it awakened me. So, tada!"

"Oh, my Goddess." Shay and Ethan breathe together.

AJ stays silent a moment longer. "Do you mind if we ran some tests, Jax? I don't remember ever hearing of this happening before." He says, rubbing his chin.

"Of course, AJ." Jax smiles brightly.

The tests all show Jax as a normal Wolf. Though combing through Taylor's family, it seemed that none of their family members carried this gene. Through research, it turned out that Taylor was adopted as an infant. Their Wolf parents were unable to keep them, as they were Rogues, and Taylor's parents, who had just lost their newborn, were happy to take the infant as their own.

When life settles down after the abduction and rescue of Shay and Taylor from Northern Mountain, Shay goes to see his father.

"Come in." Alpha Jenkins calls, after Shay raps his knuckles on his office door.

"Hey, Dad." Shay says, walking in.

"Hey, Pup." Alpha Jenkins says, looking up from his paperwork. "How are you holding up?" He asks his son.

"Well, Taylor and I still both get nightmares here and there, but overall, we're okay." Shay says softly as he sits in the chair opposite his father. "But, I wanted to talk to you about something else today."

"What's on your mind, son?" Alpha Jenkins looks at his son.

"A while back... Like, before Jax popped up, Taylor had told us some stuff about their family." Shay starts. "I can't tell you all of it, because it's their story, not mine. But the bottom line is their older brothers hurt them in ways that they shouldn't have." He snarls.

"What consequences have they faced?" Alpha Jenkins asks, grabbing a notepad.

"From what Taylor's told us, one of the brothers served time for statutory rape of a minor when he was about nineteen to twenty. He served a few years for that, then avoided his probation officer, stuff like that." Shay huffs. "But the other brother hasn't faced any consequences at all, and still serves in the military." He groans, annoyed. "But for hurting Taylor, they haven't faced any consequences at all."
