Chad's POV

Chad Age: 19

Luca Age: 16

"Chadwick!" My mother calls from downstairs. "Come down here!"

She's mad about something. I'm not sure what. I sigh heavily and open my bedroom door. "Be right there!" I shout, and close the door to get dressed. I sigh, slipping my shirt over my head.

I open my door and shove my hands in my pockets, slowly making my way down the stairs. I find Mom and Dad in the living room with another family. I frown and squint at Mom. "What's going on?"

"The Romani's are selling us their Omega." She says, looking at the father.

I look back at the family. There's a mother, a father, and a small boy between them. He looks so nervous. I would be too, if I were an Omega being sold off.

"What does that have to do with me?" I lean against the archway.

"He'll be yours." Mother turns her gaze to me.

I blink in disbelief. I'm nineteen. I've got just over six months until I can find my Mate. "Are you kidding me?" I whisper to her.

"I'm not." She says seriously. "I am completely serious."

"But my birthday is-" I try to argue, but she shuts me down.

"CHADWICK." She growls lowly. She scowls at me for a second. "In return, we'll be providing enough financial support for them to get out of debt."

"What do you expect me to do with this tiny Omega?" I scoff, looking at the small boy.

"That's not my concern." She waves her hand. "I already asked Alpha Jayus for a house for the two of you. You're moving in today." She says, standing.

"How long have you known about this?" I grit, trying to keep my growl under control.

"You don't need to know." She snarls at me. "You just have to obey, Chadwick. Obey or become a Rogue and be killed."

I grit my teeth and bow my head. "Fine. Where is it?"

"Follow me." She says, easing her scowl. She walks down the path by our house for a few minutes until we get to a decently sized house. "Here we are." She says, climbing the porch steps. She opens the door and ushers me and the Omega inside. "This is your home now." She says, and slams the door in my face.

"What the fuck?" I blink in confusion.

Why are we locked in a new house with a strange Omega? Zion, my Wolf, asks.

I don't know, Z. I blink at the door. "Whatever." I huff. I hate living with my parents anyway. I turn and look around the house. It's not too bad. I check out the rooms and pick out a room to rest in. "Do whatever you want, just don't bother me." I say to the Omega that was following wordlessly. I slip my shirt back off and crawl into bed. "At least the bed is comfortable." I mutter under my breath.

Weeks pass and the Omega is still quiet. But he's lurking. I feel like everywhere I go in the house, he's nearby. I grit my teeth and spin around in the kitchen, holding the knife I was using to chop vegetables. He's in the corner, watching.

"Fucking damnit." I grunt and toss the knife on the cutting board. "Didn't I tell you not to bother me?!" I growl, advancing on him.

He jumps, and nods frantically.

"Then what are you doing, Omega?!" I get in his face.

He gulps and looks at the floor.

"Answer me, Omega." I growl lowly, as I grasp his chin tightly.
