Chapter 11

We went down to the beach again. I wandered off into a little forest thing that was near the beach, Moon Light came with me. "You know if any humans see you they will freak out," I told her.

Where else will I go? I really don't like hiding in your bag all day.

She had a point it was better that she was here then playing in the water on the beach.

We walked along in silence for a bit. I took a deep breath in. I could smell the saltiness of the ocean and something else ... vampire?

Why would there be vampires around here?

"Moon Light do you smell that?" I asked.

Yes what is it?

"Vampire," I answered.

We followed the scent deeper into the forest where it was darker. I heard footsteps running around me and the trees and bushes were rustling but I could not see anyone.

"Moon Light go back to the others and tell them about this," I whispered.

Moon Light nodded and flew off. Something brushed against my leg, I looked down to see it was only a leaf but that leaf was swaying.

"I know you're here, show yourself!" I yelled.

It was silent...

I felt a something hit me in the head I fell to the ground pain growing where I had been hit and my vision going black. Right before it went completely black I saw two black leather boots thump on the ground.

Sarah's tiny purple and black dragon flew towards us. I felt a presence pushing on my mind. What the hell is this, I tried to fight it but I didn't really know how. What kind of a coward attacks someone's mind!

Calm down it's just me Moon Light.

"Oh sorry about that..." I said out loud and Noah looked at me.

There are vampires in the forest and I think Sarah has been attacked by them

"Vampires?!" I stood up.

"What where?" Noah asked.

"The little dragon says that Sarah got attacked in the forest," I explained.

"Wow, ok I'll go warn everyone, you go look for her," he told me then ran off.

I looked at the little dragon, she was very worried. I wasn't sure but I think that the connection between the dragon and the dragon rider must be strong. That's probably why she is so worried. I wonder when she will be able to breath fire, that will be epic.

Devil come with me, I will take you to Sarah

I nodded and she flew off. I ran after her, she was really fast.

She suddenly stopped.

where is she?

She flew around looking for Sarah. The vampires must have taken her somewhere or maybe she just is chasing them. That sounds more like her, chasing vampires. I heard a sound behind me. Are they still here?

I turned around and sure enough there was a vampire standing right there smiling at me with it's creepy stained fangs.

My hands burst into flames and I jumped forward to punch her. She quickly dodged me and suddenly she was behind me and kicked me in the back. I fell forward but caught myself before my face hit the ground. The vampire stabbed me in the back with her high heeled shoe. I grunted in annoyance and quickly turned around. Grabbing her foot I used all my force to pull her to the ground. She fell but I held onto her foot and I felt the bones snap under her skin.
