"Don't you know how to swim?" Reyansh asked with a teasing smirk, his voice carrying a playful challenge.
They were on the terrace of a luxurious penthouse, where a large swimming pool sparkled under the soft glow of the evening sun. Ridhanvi stood at the edge of the pool, arms crossed, her gaze fixed on Reyansh. He was in the pool, the water clinging to his toned body, glimmering like diamonds in the sunlight. His confident, carefree aura only made Ridhanvi more self-conscious.
"No, that’s why I’m standing here. Otherwise, why would I be watching you from the side like this?" Ridhanvi replied with a hint of irritation, though her nervousness peeked through.
Reyansh’s smirk widened as if he had caught her off guard. "Hmmm… you’re right… but by the way, where is she?"
"Who?" Ridhanvi asked, her brows knitting together in confusion.
"The one you kidnapped," Reyansh said casually, his mischievous eyes glinting as they met hers.
Her jaw dropped in shock. "Are you crazy? Who did I kidnap? I can’t even hurt someone, let alone kidnap them!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with innocence and disbelief.
Reyansh chuckled softly at her reaction, his smirk turning into a playful smile. He tilted his head, his wet hair falling slightly over his forehead. "Ohh really? Yeah, you’re right… you’re so innocent. Honestly, I’ve never seen someone as innocent as you," he said, his voice softer now, but still carrying that teasing edge.
Ridhanvi’s heart skipped a beat at his words. The way he looked at her—warm yet playful—made her feel vulnerable, and her cheeks betrayed her with a faint blush. She quickly averted her gaze, pretending to be unbothered, but the racing of her heart gave her away.
