Adhrika and Ridhanvi were on the terrace, walking side by side.
They had shifted to Agastya’s Mumbai villa, and Adhrika’s mother had also moved in with them. Agastya had ensured this because he knew she wouldn’t be able to live without her daughter. He wanted to keep her close, not just for Adhrika’s happiness but also because he could never forget what she had done for both Adhrika and Aruhi in the past four years. He wished to maintain a good relationship with her, just as before.
Back when Adhrika was staying at her mother’s house, Agastya had placed security there. And now, in this vast villa, security was present everywhere. Adhrika wasn’t surprised. She knew Agastya wasn’t doing this for her—he was doing it for Aruhi.
The house was now home to Ridhanvi, Adhrika, Agastya, Reyansh, Aruhi, and Adhrika’s mother.
The cold breeze blew across the terrace as Adhrika and Ridhanvi strolled together. Adhrika was talking to her when suddenly, Ridhanvi softly called out to her.
“Diii…”
Adhrika turned toward her. “Hmm… bolo, Ridhu?”
There was a slight hesitation before Ridhanvi finally asked, “Dii… why did you leave us?”
Adhrika stopped in her tracks. Silence stretched between them. She had no answer, nothing that could justify the pain she had caused. But after a moment, she spoke, her voice barely above a whisper.
“Ridhu… I had some misunderstandings…”
Ridhanvi frowned, leading her to a bench nearby. She made Adhrika sit down and asked, “Misunderstanding? About what? And with whom?”
Adhrika shook her head, avoiding Ridhanvi’s gaze. “Just… leave it, Ridhu. I don’t think I should talk about it anymore. I’m sorry… I was away from all of you for so long. If you can… please forgive me. I don’t know how many hearts I’ve hurt…”
Her voice broke, and tears welled up in her eyes.
Ridhanvi immediately reached out, gently wiping away Adhrika’s tears. “Dii… please don’t cry. What matters is that you’re here now. With us. That’s all we ever wanted.”
Trying to compose herself, Adhrika sniffled and asked, “How are Adhya di and Shree?”
Ridhanvi’s expression darkened for a moment before she sighed. “Everything fell apart after you left, dii… It was as if happiness had abandoned us. Agastya jiju became a living corpse. Adhya di… she left Vidhyut bhai and moved to London. Everything shattered.”
Adhrika’s tears flowed freely now, her heart aching at the thought of how much pain her actions had caused. “But why did di leave Vidhyut bhai?”
Ridhanvi’s face brightened slightly. “Don’t worry, dii. They’re together now. Do you know? For the first two years, Vidhyut jiju arranged security for Adhya di in London. Reyansh was telling me about it. And then, he himself shifted to London. But the most special thing about their story?”
