Serenity and Atlas wasted no time and ran to where the sound rang. "Did the others finally decide to kill each other? What's going on?" Serenity questioned. "I don't know, but your Mag better be full!" Atlas said, cocking back his gun from his back pocket.

Serenity did the same. "I never leave with an empty mag dumbass!" She remarked. They made it back to the camp fast, and luckily everyone was there. All... except for Tank and Storm, who were seen walking around the thickets of the forest last time they saw them.

Atlas quickly assessed the situation and turned to Ianessa, "Babe, are you okay?" He checked her up and down for injuries. "Babe, stop! I'm fine... I'm fine, really. Just surprised is all." She lied. Atlas saw her hands fidgeting in light yet noticeable fear.

Atlas hummed at that response. "Alright Nessie." He dismissed. He knew better than to bombard her with questions, which would undoubtedly make her all the more afraid. "Is everyone else okay?" Atlas spoke of the others. "They seem okay." Serenity responded.

Serenity looked down at Illumin, who was holding onto Zakariyya and Xolt for comfort. Albeit, Carmilla looked completely calm and silent... dangerously silent. She could see it in her eyes, she was focusing on something, but Serenity didn't know what it was.

"Alright. In that case me and you can go see what's happening. You okay with that twin?" Atlas asked Serenity. Serenity walked towards him and cocked back her G-17. "Let's go." She bopped her head right.

They walked into the forest again, trusting that the others could take care of themselves.

"Are they... gonna die?" Illumin asked hesitantly. "No, they won't. They'll survive... they have to." Carmilla assured. Zakariyya's heart was pounding out of his chest. He didn't know what to think of the situation. All Zakariyya knew was the worst case scenario: a shoot-out.

Back with Serenity and Atlas...

Serenity and Atlas walked through the forest on high alert. They looked around for signs of a struggle, but not much could be seen through the naked eye. Instead, they heard more gunshots from one direction, and crouched towards it.

As they got closer to the source of the gunfire, they saw dead bodies sprawled out all over the floor. Their faces were mauled off. Roaring and growls could be heard. When they got close enough, Serenity and Atlas peeked from behind a rock.

They saw Storm roaring and defending a dead Tank, whose motionless body was riddled with arrows and battle scars. And from a few feet away, approximately five men were shooting at Tank with crossbows.

The sight was sickening to Atlas's eyes. He did his best not to throw up at Tank's lifeless body. Serenity on the other hand was disgusted and enraged. "Those motherfuckers." She cursed.

She gripped onto the hilt of her gun with anticipation, ready for Atlas to agree to open fire. Atlas looked at Serenity, and nodded. "Let's teach these fucks a lesson on animal cruelty." Atlas flashed his gun.

"Finally!" Serenity aimed her gun at one of the armed men, and shot him in the head. Then right after that, Atlas open fired and shot a man in the neck. This caught the attention of both the remaining men, and Storm.

"Run away and hide, NOW STORM!!" Atlas yelled. Amidst the gunfire and whooshing of arrows, Storm could still understand him loud and clear. She affectionately nudged the dead body of her mate one more time, before running away.

Atlas and Serenity continued to fire at the men, successfully hitting one of them in the shoulder. "Yes! Got one in the shoulder." Atlas jeered. "And I got a headshot, you're not special." Serenity mocked. Atlas gave her a defiant look.

"You know what, I bet you can't do better than that. No balls." Atlas challenged. Serenity stared at him. She slowly stood up from the cover of the rock they hid behind, and caught an arrow near her head with her left hand.

"Bet." Serenity dared with her hand bleeding. She ran towards the trees on the right and zoomed past the leafy thickets. One of the men tried to target her, but couldn't land a hit.

After multiple failed attempts, the man assumed that Serenity ran away and started to focus back on Atlas. That was his biggest mistake yet.

Serenity shot the man who was injured while he was down from behind them. Then before they could react in time, she stabbed another man in the neck with her knife on one hand, and used his body as cover when the man tried shooting at her.

While he was shooting however, Serenity aimed down at his groin and shot him there. He dropped to his knees and let out a deafening scream. Then gradually, Serenity shot him in the head.

Silence filled the area after Serenity took the last shot. She blowed the smoking hole of her gun while looking at Atlas. "Never try me like that again." Serenity uttered. "Tch, show off." Atlas rolled his eyes.

Atlas tucked his gun back into his pocket as he walked over to where Serenity was standing. "I can't even lie, that was lowkey badass." Atlas congratulated. "No for real though. I felt like John Wick for a second." Serenity grinned with pride.

Atlas chuckled. He hugged his sister tightly, glad to see his sister still alive and in one piece. "If you do that again, I'll kill you." He threatened half-heartedly. "You wish." Serenity remarked.

Once they broke the hug, they turned to face Tank's dead body. Atlas couldn't help but frown for him. "Poor Tanky... I was starting to warm up to him." He wallowed. "Yeah, maybe we can bury-ATLAS LOOK OUT!!"

Then out of nowhere, something bit Atlas's leg. He winced and stomped on the perpetrator's head. Atlas took a look under his shoe... it was one of the men they'd killed. And he looked ominously pale... like the undead.

"Huh... I got bit." Atlas sighed.
