Chapter 16 - What are you playing at?

"What?" I asked, "Why would he do that?"

"I don't know, I was walking round the corner to go to his house and there they were. Both stood in the front garden kissing, I turned to run not wanting to believe it and Connor chased after me until i got to the end of the road," Sarah said with more tears building in her eyes. James standing up with anger in his eyes, "I don't care if Cons my best friend, he can't just do this to you Sarah, I'm going over there" James almost shouted and exited the room, I got up off the floor and went to see James out the door, "Look babe be careful please and don't do something you'll regret! I will call Connor now and see if I can get to him." 

"I'll try my best," said James, planting a kiss on my cheek and leaving.

I walked past the living room, hearing Molly comforting Sarah, and Brad was probably just sat there stunned. I made my way to the kitchen to call Con. Sitting on the breakfast bar I dialled his number. 

( C: Stands for Connor and M: stands for Millie)

M: Connor what the hell are you playing at?

C: Millie I've really fucked it up now. Trust me I love Sarah and she came onto me not the other way round. 

M: Connor, have you been crying because you sound like it?

C: Yes Millie, I'm crying because I've messed up the best relationship I ever had.

M: Connor I know you love Sarah, what bitch came onto you anyway?

C: You won't like it

M: Just tell me Connor

C: It was Leah

M: As in the Leah who James used to date?

C: Yeah, Look Millie, I would never like her, never in a million years. I just wanna put things right with Sarah.

M: Look Connor, If you can get yourself down to my house now we will sort it. 

Connor agreed to coming down and I texted James. 

Message to Jems -

It was Leah. Leah kissed Connor. Pick up Connor then bring him back here. M xx

JAMES POV

I received the text from Millie and quickly responded as I arrived in Connors drive. I walked up to the door and knocked. I waited but there was no answer so I knocked again. And eventually Con came to the door. He looked terrible, it was obvious he had been crying, his eyes tear stained. "Don't say anything James, just let me grab my jacket and then we'll go." Con mumbled.

After a 10 minute walk of silence back to Millie's, we reached the house. She opened the door straight away pulling Connor in and telling me to go to the other room. 

MILLIE'S POV

I pulled Connor to the kitchen and hugged him. I know he wouldn't do something like this. I told him to wait in the kitchen and I went to get Sarah. "Millie what are you doing?" Sarah asked

"Oh, erm, I just need some help carrying the tray of drinks in" I panicked, as she'd kill me if she knew Connor was on the other side of the door. "Er you go in, I'll just grab James to help with the food." And with that Sarah entered the kitchen. 

She shouted through the door but I managed to make it clear that they weren't coming out until they sorted it and so we left them to it. I was sitting on the stairs by the kitchen so she didn't come out until it was fixed. James came and sat by me and i rested my head on his shoulder. "Leah did this, Leah messed up their relationship" I said

"I know she did, she's just jealous of them" he responded.

"Yeah but James, what if she tries with us?"

"I only have eyes for you, me dating her was a huge mistake and your the person I want to be with Millie, okay?"

"Okay"
