Chapter 11 - Punch

James drove me home last night and I pretty much went straight to bed. I had hardly seen my parents all week as they had work each day and it had just been me and Brad at home. Brad didn't know about me and James yet so I knew I had to tell him and I would try and do it today.

I woke up at around 11 and scrolled through instagram and twitter in bed before getting up at around half twelve. I went downstairs and grabbed some biscuits for my breakfast. I went to eat them in the lounge. I jumped onto the sofa next to brad. "Alright Monkey" he asked.

"I'm great what about you bradders?"

"Good, why are you so energetic, your like never energetic when you get out of bed!"

"Oi I'm not that bad. And no reason." I said smiling.

THE FOLLOWING TEXT IS WRITTEN SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT TO MAKE IT EASIER TO WRITE. THE B STANDS FOR BRAD AND THE M STANDS FOR MILLIE.

B: No, honestly what is it?

M: If I tell you, you have to promise not to go insane.

B: Okay...

M: Basically, I'm no longer a single pringle.

B: Oh whose the unfortunate guy that has to put up with ya?

M: James...

(Shouting)

B: Why the fuck are you going out with him? Millie, I have seen to many girls hurt by him. I won't let him do that to you. Leave him.

M: Brad, I'm fed up of you trying to tell me how to run my life. You might be older than me but only by a year. That doesn't give you permission to start bossing me around. You might be trying to protect me but I can make my own decisions.

B: You don't understand Millie! He cheats! He lies! He breaks hearts every single week!

M: Brad just shut up! I don't care what you have to say any more. I'm fed up of you doing this.

B: Listen to me you idiot!

M: Don't talk to me like that! For gods sake!

B: LISTEN TO ME

M: NO

B: JUST FRICKIN' LISTEN

And then he swung for me. He caught just under my eye with his fist. My hand flew up to hold my face.

"Millie I didn't mean to" he said softly.

"Save it" I said, I grabbed my phone and my keys and ran out the door.

I stood on the drive way not knowing wear to go. And then it hit me, James'. It helped that he was only next door. I walked up to the door and knocked gently, my hand still holding my cheek and tear sneaking from my eye. He unlocked the door.

"Hey Millie... What happened?" He said starting cheery and then noticing. He pulled me in to a hug tightly. Holding my head against his chest.

"Brad..." I managed to say through the tears. He took me to the living room. I eventually took my hand away from my cheek. James' jaw dropped. "Millie you need some ice on that," he said the n racing to the freezer to grab a bag of frozen peas. "Brad did this to you?" he asked, I nodded. "I will kill him" He said with anger in his eyes and going to leave. "James don't, leave him." I said whilst pulling him back to the sofa, with peas still on my face. "Just leave him, he can be the first one to talk, not us" I said.

"Why did he do this to you?"

"Because I told him about us. He went off on one and I defended myself."

"This is all my fault"

"James it is definitely not your fault. But if he has the courage to hit me, he better never do anything to Molly"

"Do you wanna stay here tonight?" James asked.

"Will it be okay with your parents?" I questioned.

"I don't care, I'm not letting you go back there this evening."

"I have nothing to sleep in James."

"You can wear something of mine" he answered.

"Are you sure James?" I asked.

"Positively"

I layed along the sofa with my head on his lap, and we spent the evening watching movies whilst James fiddled with my hair.

BRADS P.O.V

I had messed up big time. Why did I hit her? And where had she gone? I figured James' but I couldn't be certain so I dropped him a text.

I know I messed up and I'm assuming she's with you. Please just let me know she's safe. B x
