Chapter 15 - Back to School

Millies POV

Unfortunately today was Monday the 8th of January, meaning it was the first day back at school, Yay(!). Brad wasn't going back until next week though, although his injuries weren't serious the doctors advised him to rest. I hated mornings and so I dragged myself out of bed and into the bathroom to have a shower and brush my teeth. I went back to my room, tied my hair in a messy bun as it was still wet, I got my uniform on (blouse, tights and skirt). Grabbing my cardigan, blazer and bag I headed downstairs. I sat at the breakfast bar scrolling through my instagram and twitter feed whilst eating my cereal. I went back upstairs to dry my hair and put it into a bun once again. I decided to go into Brads room as I knew he'd be awake, I went in and sat on his bed for ten minutes joking about with him before I realised I needed to meet Evi at the end of the road. I put my shoes on, grabbed my bag and my phone and walked to the end of the road where I met Evi.

"Alright Stranger?" She said pulling me into a hug.

"I feel like I haven't seen you in ages." I said into her shoulder.

"I know, Hows Brad doing?" she asked me.

"He's good, he should be back at school next week." And with that we set off for school. We reached school and first lesson I had drama with Molly.

I entered the drama studio and every was reuniting with their mates after the christmas holidays. In mine and molly's group there were six of us and we set off with the task on the board. "Millie, I forgot to ask you yesterday, but how'd you get that bruise on your face?" she asked me as we were waiting for someone else's performance to start. Shit, once again I had forgotten to cover up the purple shape on my cheek, "Oh, erm, I opened a cupboard door and didn't move out the way," I said nervously, "you know what I'm like, clumsy!" I continued.

"It looks really sore," Molly asked.

"It is, but I guess it'll teach me a lesson." I laughed. And the performance started.

It got to Lunchtime and I hadn't seen James all day, I went to search for Molly, Evi and Sarah in the canteen and sat at the table was them, James, Tris and Connor. I ran over to the table and put my hands over James' eyes before he saw me. "Millie I know that's you" he said laughing.

"How?!" I asked laughing.

"I just do!" he said and I planted a kiss on his cheek before taking a seat next to him and getting my lunch out of my bag. Lunch was really fun, we sat around laughing and joking. The bell went for last period and we all agreed to meet by the bike shed to walk home together. I made my way to maths with Evi and as we reached our classroom the teacher put the seating plan on the board and Evi and I squealed as we were sat next to each other. Maths was possibly the slowest lesson of the day, who cares about how to work out the formula of a quadratic graph?! The bell went and we all practically legged it out of the classroom. Evi and I made our way to the bike shed where Tris was already waiting. It only took around five minutes for us all to congregate by the bike shed and then we started walking.
After about ten minutes there was only James, Sarah, Molly and I. James and Molly were coming to mine and sarah would be taking a different turn shortly. We reached her road and all hugged. And waved her off. The three of us continued to mine.
Eventually we reached my house and I rummaged around in my bag for my key eventually finding it and putting it through the key hole. I shouted upstairs to Brad announcing we were home and he replied sounding as though he was in the living room. All three of us made our way to the living room, Molly jumping on Brad like a leech (Molly will get me😂). Making me and James laugh.
"Oh shut up you two" my brother said "its not as if you two aren't together twenty four seven" he said wiggling his eye brows.
"Oh shut up Brad!" I replied pushing him on the sofa. We all lounged about in the living room, Molly and I working in a mini science project. When I received a text:
1 message from Mum
Hiya Hunny, me and your dad have decided to go out for dinner so we will be late home, don't wait up. xxx
I told Brad and we decided to all order pizza! James got in the phone to dominoes and five minutes later our pizza arrived. I was half way through my first slice of pizza when the door bell rang. "I'll get it" I said wondering who it could possibly be. I walked to the door and opened it to find a mess of a sarah. She had tear stained cheeks and looked as though she had been crying since birth! I didn't ask what had happened at first just pulled her into my arms. Closing the door behind her. We both walked to the living room where everyone looked shocked when she entered, she took a seat on the sofa with Molly an I beside her. The two guys making their way to the other sofa.
"Sarah, Hunny, what happened?" Molly questioned her.
"It's Connor" she said sniffling. "I caught him kissing someone else".
Our jaws dropped.

Sorry it took me so long to update. I've had a busy few days/weeks. Hope you enjoyed. I hope to upload soon but doubt it will be this weekend as I'm performing in London tomorrow 😁 xxx
