Chapter 1 - Life as Normal

Millies POV

I awoke to the sound of clattering next door. Out of my window i saw a removal van, I knew the old neighbours had moved out but we had no idea when the new ones were moving in. Obviously it was today. Brad , My brother, was out there helping them unpack. Now that, was a lot unlike brad to be out of bed before 9 am. But the boy he was helping was gorgeous, I think i had a crush on him. They looked like they knew each other, this must have been a mate from London. We had moved to Birmingham a year ago now. I missed London but Birmingham was amazing. I had my friends at skl, The crew. Me, Charlotte, Alex and Claudia. 

What was the time? 7:23am. I might as well get up i did have skl. I got up, got dressed, rolled my skirt up. I went downstairs and mum was doing bacon for breakfast! Yummy! I went outside to see Brad whilst mum finished the bacon. "Morning Brad" I said cheerfully. "Hey sis, This is James. He's moving in  nextdoor! He's a mate from London" He said. "Hi" Me and James said at the same time. We both laughed. "Mums doing bacon for breakfast, you want any?" I asked Brad. "Nah I'm alright, Thanks for asking". "Ok your loss" i said. " Oh and James, my names Millie by the way" I said after realising he didnt know my name.

I went back inside and ate my bacon and Brad had a slice of toast. *Knock Knock* "Oh that'll be Charlotte" I said and kissing mum and Brad on the cheek I left and me and charlotte walked to school and I told her all about James.

*At School*

Me and charlotte were year 10 so constantly teachers were going on about how important our GCSE's were. Brad was year 11. It was break and Me charlotte , Alex and Claudia were sitting on a table outside. When I saw Brad and James with two other boys. "Come on" I said and we all got up and walked over. " Hi Sis" Brad said and all of us said our individual hellos. " This is Tris and this is Connor but you can call him Con" Brad said introducing us to the two boys. They had moved here from London too. Brad was well chuffed. Though Brad had always had a crush on Charlotte just as well, she liked him even more. I dont know why Brad didnt just ask her out!
