 Your Point Of View Continued

Pushing myself off the front door, I walked into the living room, picked up my laptop from down the side of the sofa, I walked out of the living room and was just about to walk upstairs when the front door opened and walked my mother.

"Hey sweetie, thanks for babysitting your sister," she says as she closed the door. "That is no problem mum," I say and made my way up the stairs. "Wait there young lady," she says, turning around I looked at her. "Is everything okay?"She asks looking at me. I nod. "I'm just a little-tired mum that's all," I say lying through my teeth. I wasn't okay, I was upset because of Luke but that didn't matter.

" Alright I'm going to pretend that I believe you just this once, I know something that will make you happy," she says, I looked at her, eyebrows raised. "What's that?" She just smiled at me. "Oh I don't think you want to know," she says teasingly. "Mum tell me," I say, she grinned.

"Alright, alright I'll tell you do you remember Sam?" she asks, Sam, Sam, Sam. I knew Sam. Sammy!  I felt myself smile. "He's back?" I ask excitedly. "Yep, his flight lands tomorrow morning so we're going to go and pick him up," she says which I grin. "Yes, oh that's a shame I have to miss school, though," I say sarcastically which my mum laughed.

"One day won't hurt will it besides he is family," mum says which I smiled, that's the best news I've heard in ages. "Well I'll let you continue doing what you were going to do," she says. I turned around and ran up the stairs holding my laptop and ran into my room. I placed my laptop down on my bed gently before I started jumping up and down while screaming.

He was coming home, Sammy was coming home. I soon stopped and then looked at my wall, the biggest wall in my room, was covered with pictures of me and my friends, my family and other important pictures. I walked over to it and looked at the picture, that day I cried like a little girl, that day he left to join the army, he was dressed in his uniform while I was dressed in joggers but he didn't care, he was family.

He left at age eighteen when he signed up and now he was coming home for a little while before returning to duty. He's now twenty-one, he's older me I'm turning eighteen in July.  I didn't know how long he was back, but that little amount of time I knew was going to be great. He's my cousin and I couldn't be any happier that he was coming home safe and sound.

I straight away took my phone out of my pocket and scrolled through my contacts, clicking on Leila's name, I clicked ring and quickly put my phone to my ear.

Ring ring ring.

Hello" I hear her say. I didn't waste no time and screamed down the phone, "he's coming home Leila, he's coming home" I screamed.

"Geez yn break my eardrums why don't you," she says laughing. "Who's coming home? " She asks. "Sammy," I say, she went silent then she screamed, now my eardrums were hurting.

"Sammy, like Sammy, your Sammy, Sammy as soldier Sammy-" she starts saying which I laughed.

"Yeah that Sammy, Leila. He's coming home" I say happily.

"Yn, that's great, you've been waiting for him to come home for a long time now," she says which I nodded even though she couldn't see me.

I walked over to my balcony doors, opening them, I sat down on the chair which was out there, I could see many houses but when it goes dark you see all the house light up and it is amazing.

"So when is he coming back? " She asks, "his flight lands tomorrow," I say."So your not going to come to school?" She says more like a statement than a question."Nope, I and mum are going to pick him up," I say.
