Your Point Of View
Closing the door behind me, I started walking up the stairs when I was called back down the stairs by my father. "Yn come into the living room please" I heard him call. Turning around I walked back down a couple of steps and walked into the living room to see my father sat down on the sofa.
Walking in, he looked at me. "Take a seat," he says, nodding I took a seat on the sofa, looking at him. "So what time do you call this?" He asks I looked at the clock on the wall. "Ten past eleven," I say looking back at him. "Exactly ten past eleven, on a school night. What were you thinking?" He says I shrugged my shoulders in response.
"That is not an answer," he says, I shrugged my shoulders again. "So now your not talking to me," He says looking at me. "I don't know what you expect me to say, dad, that I'm sorry? I'm sorry that I went out and had some fun for once" I say with a hint of sarcasm.
"No, that you're sorry for coming home at ten past eleven on a school night. You have school tomorrow." He says. "I know but I was not given a curfew dad and besides I'm home safe and sound, aren't I? Shouldn't that be all that matters that I'm home safe? Calum made sure I was home safe, he even walked me to the door-" I was about to say but was cut off.
"Whether that is true or not, you still come home late," He says, I rolled my eyes. "How can I come home late, yet again I repeat I was not given a curfew so I'm not home late. I returned after the date I had with Calum." I say standing up. "And if you don't mind I'm going upstairs to shower so I can go to bed, not so I can sit here for another half hour why you tell me over and over again how I came home late on a school night, which I will just sit here saying the same thing over and over again about how I was not giving a curfew," I say as I walked out of the living room and up the stairs not before hearing my dad say "Damn children"
Snickering I walked upstairs and into my room, I walked over to my balcony doors, opening them and walked out on to the balcony, I looked at the view, it was amazing.
"This isn't having a shower is it?" I hear my dad's voice, turning around I saw him standing in the doorway of the balcony doors. "Oh my god, will you just leave me alone," I say as I walked back in, taking the towel off my bed that I left there early so I could have a shower and walked into the bathroom attached to my room. I closed the door, I then heard my bedroom door shut. Opening the door I walked back out and locked my bedroom door, for privacy.
I then walked over to my balcony doors, shutting them, I locked the doors and then pulled my curtains along them. I then walked back into my bathroom and stripped out of my clothes not before leaving my house key and phone on the side in my bedroom.
Stepping out of my clothes, I stepped into the shower, reaching up I turned the shower on and allowed the hot water to run over my body.
After getting out of the shower with the towel wrapped around my body, I walked into my room and dried myself off. I then put on some pyjamas before I went and dumped my towel in the washing basket in my bathroom which I picked up my dirty clothes as well.
Walking back into my room, I picked up my phone and looked at the time, it read 00:15 Am. Crap! How long was I in the shower? Walking over to my bedroom light, I switched it off and then walked over to my bed and got in, getting comfy. I press the button on my phone the screen soon lit up my whole room, unlocking it I clicked on my messages as I had a 1 next to it, indicating I had one new message.
"Yn it's quarter past twelve, go to sleep already" I hear my dad say from behind my door. Rolling my eyes, I locked my phone not even getting a chance to read the message to see what it said or whom it was from.
I placed my phone on my table next to my bed. "I hope you're going to sleep now" "I'm going for heaven sakes," I say annoyed with my dad keep bugging me all the time. I'm seventeen, if I want to stay up late I shall, if I come home late, then so be it. I'm seventeen, I'm eighteen soon. "Good night Yn" I hear him say, "night," I say back before I heard footsteps then a door close. I closed my eyes and allowed the blackness to surround me especially as I had to be up in over six hours.
Luke's Point Of View
"Luke you need to get up for school now" I hear someone say as they shook my body. "Go away" I mutter groggily. "Luke get your ass out of bed or shall I tell Ben to get the water bucket" I hear Jack say. "You wouldn't," I say, "oh but that is where your wrong little brother, get out or get soaked so what will it be," he says. "Fine, I'll get up," I say as I took the covers off me and dragged my tired body out of my bed, the warm bed.
"Hurry up, mums cooking breakfast," He says giving me a look, ignoring him I walked past him and walked out of my room and walked downstairs in my boxers. It's alright it is not like my mum hasn't seen me in my boxers before, she sees all of us. Me, Jack and Ben in our boxers. Shame my mum is the only girl in this house, to deal with three boys alone, my dad where is he your probably wondering? Well, that's a story for another time.
Walking into the kitchen I saw mum was busy cooking, "Morning Luke" I hear her say as she looked at me for a split second before she turned her gaze back to the food she was cooking. "Morning mum," I say as I sat down at the countertop table we had in the middle of the kitchen, soon enough in walked Jack and Ben joined me and sat down.
"So what are we having nice?" Jack asks, "breakfast what do you think dear," mum says making me and Ben look at each other and snigger. Jack gave me a look, I grinned wider.
"So what are we having for breakfast, mum?" I ask, "pancakes dear," she says answering me back; I smile smugly at Jack. He puts his finger up to me which I chuckled. "Very mature jackass," I say making Ben laugh. Jack just glared at us before mum placed the freshly baked pancakes onto the plate that was in the middle of the table.
"So about tonight, I know we normally have dinner together but" Mum started saying as we were eating the pancakes that our mum had cooked for us. "But what mum got a nice man coming over or something," Ben says with his mouth full of pancakes.
I chuckled and mum stared at Ben, "manners Ben, I raised you better than this" she says scolding him which I laughed. "But no for all of your boy's information I have invited your friend Luke, her and her family around for dinner tonight," Mum says I looked at her.
"What friends, Luke has no friends apart from Calum and Michael," Jack says, I rolled my eyes. "Yeah what friend?"Ben asks they all looked at me.
"Are you on about yn, mum?" I ask looking at her, she nods. "Yes her family are very nice," she says, "that's a bad idea, we don't exactly see eye to eye anymore," I say as I placed a piece of pancake in my mouth.
"But you used to talk about her all the time," Mum says, Jack and Ben smirked at me, I cut my eyes at them as I chewed on the bit of pancake in my mouth. Chewing and swallowing the piece, "Well things change and I think you should uninvite them" I say as I got out of my chair and walked over to the sink and put my plate, knife and fork in the bowl.
I went to walk out when my mum called me back, turning I looked at her. "I am not uninviting them so you best be here tonight for dinner or else" She warns me, rolling my eyes I carried on. I walked out of the kitchen and ran up the stairs and went into the bathroom to brush my teeth.
After finally being ready for school, I grabbed my backpack and walked down the stairs and opened the front door. "Oh, and Luke," my mum says walking out of the living room. "Yeah?" "Don't be late back for dinner as I know what you're like?" she says. "I won't," I say as I walked out closing the door behind me. Just great had to go to school then come home and spend time with my family and Yn's family for a meal. That's all I need now especially as I and Yn aren't on the best terms at the moment.
