Football Captain (Hayes Grier/Magcon Boys)

Chapter One

The team ran across the field, protecting their quater back. Hayes Grier, Hayes bit his lip and jumped over one of the other teams players. He ran faster and he slide past the mark, giving them a touch down. 

"Yeah!" Nash yelled as he stood up for his little brother.

"Good job." Shawn, one of Hayes team mates, as he helped Hayes up. Hayes gave a smile and Shawn rolled his eyes.

"Okay, Shawn are you ready?" Hayes asked him as Shawn looked at him.

"Come on it's just a kick, I can do this in my sleep." Shawn said as Hayes rolled his eyes.

"Stop being a cheeky bastard, go play." Hayes said as Shawn nodded. He went where he needed to started and ran up and kicked the ball. It made it the goal and Shawn high fived his friends. Hayes smiled and he huddled up his team.

"Okay, we have five minutes of the game left. We're ahead of one point. Let's keep it up." Hayes said as the team nodded. They put on their helmets and got into place. Hayes yelled for the game to go in and Hayes was passed the ball and Shawn ran out to the left field and held out his hands for the ball. Hayes passed him the ball, and started to run forward.  

Shawn tried to find any of his team mates opened or even Hayes but no luck. He saw Cameron opened and he passed the ball, but someone tackled him. Shawn gasped as he felt something crack and pain went up in his leg. His girlfriend, Jessie stood up wide eye.

Hayes looked back at his team mate and Cameron looked at Shawn as he ran towards the touchdown. He made it, but didn't do his victory dance. He dropped the football and ran over to Shawn as the buzzer went off. Jessie ran off the bleachers trying to get to Shawn.

"Shawn!" Jessie yelled as she reached him and Hayes ran over. 

"Are you okay?" Hayes asked as Shawn shook his head grabbing onto his knee. Nash ran down and already called the abulance. 

They came over and put Shawn on a stretcher and Jessie followed them. Hayes bit his lip and rubbed his face.

"Hayes?" Nash asked after he hugged Cameron. "Are you okay?" Nash asked as Hayes looked at him. One of Hayes best friends got hurt in the game and Hayes didn't know til after the game.

"Is he gonna be okay?" Hayes asked as Nash hugged him and they walked over to his car with Cameron following them. Hayes knows that his brother is dating his best friend Cameron, but sometimes he gets a little jealous. Not that Hayes is gay, cause Cameron is his best friend first before becoming Nash's boyfriend.

Nash drove them home and Hayes didn't care if his best friend was staying for Nash this time. He just ran out and upstairs to his room. He took out his phone and dialed Jessie's number.

"Hayes?" Jessie asked.

"Is he okay?!" Hayes rushed out as Jessie sighed.

"I don't know yet, but they said he could come to school tomorrow. Get some rest." Jessie said as Hayes sighed and said thanks and goodbye. He put his phone on the charger and took a shower. He sighed and got some sleep. But Shawn was on his mind. 

The next morning Hayes jumped out of bed. Just throwing on a pair of gray skinny jeans and a blue shirt. He grabbed a random pair of shoes and socks. Then his bag. He rushed into the bathroom and brushed his teeth. He ran out and saw Nash and Cameron was laughing and walking into the kitchen. Hayes groaned and grabbed their arms.

"Hayes!" Nash yelled as Hayes looked at him.

"We don't have time! Shawn is coming today, I need to know if he's okay!" Hayes yelled as Nash sighed and looked at him.

"Your buying me breakfest." Nash grumbled as Hayes thanked him and rushed towards the car. Nash looked at his boyfriend, who just shrugged his shoulders. They walked out and saw Hayes sitting in the car, Nash and Cameron got in and Nash drove them to school.

Hayes rushed out as they pulled up at the school parking lot, and saw Jessie sitting next to Shawn, who seemed fine. Hayes smiled and ran over to them, but something caught his eye. The blue cast on his left leg.

"Hayes!" Shawn yelled as Hayes walked up to him.

"Y-your leg?" Hayes said as he pointed at it.

"I know, I'm gonna be out for most of the season." Shawn said as Jessie rubbed his back. 

"What am I gonna do?" Hayes asked as Shawn looked at him.

"Get a new kicker." Cameron said as he looked at Hayes. Hayes shook his head and looked at Cameron.

"I can't do that!" Hayes exclaimed as Shawn looked at Jessie who nodded. She got up and walked over to her two best friends and Hayes looked at Shawn.

"I'm totally fine with it! I mean, we can't cancel the season after we came so far." Shawn said as Hayes sighed and looked down at his shoes.

"Shawn are you sure?" Hayes asked as Cameron looked at Shawn who nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'll even help you with try outs." Shawn said as Hayes sighed.

"Okay, I guess try outs are tomorrow after school." Hayes said as Shawn smiled and rubbed Hayes back.
