Chapter Fourteen

You know that feeling when you could miss the air you breathe when you're under water? Or when you get lost in the supermarket and need your mother to comfort you and forget what happened? Or even just hugged your grandmother and that warm feeling just burst through you.

Well Emma is feeling that. She hates knowing that her father goes out drinking or even going to clubs. She has to watch Greggy, and she knows that Greggy doesn't mine, but she does. She wants to grabbed her father by the shoulders and yell at him that you have kids, treat them like that! But she knew that wouldn't work.

"Emma, Ava says that you need to get ready for prom." Greggy said as he walked in, and he smiled as he saw Emma wearing the dress.

"I'm ready." Emma said with a sigh and Greggy walked over with a smile and touched her arm.

"Hey when you get home, we could throw the ball around so you could be a pro!" Greggy exclaimed as Emma giggled and hugged her brother. Greggy smiled and hugged his sister with a giggle.

"Sounds good Greggy, besides I should teach you with my amazing skills." Emma joked as Greggy giggled and Emma walked outside of her room and over towards kitchen and started to grab some snacks for Greggy so when he goes to his friends.

"Do you have you bag packed?" Emma asked as Greggy nodded and ran out and placed his Avenger's bag on the table and Emma chuckled.

"Plus Thomas mommy said she'll be here in five minutes!" Greggy yelled as he ran back in his room and grabbed his Iron Man action figure and Emma smiled and rolled her eyes.

Emma watched Greggy walked in the car and she sighed as she walked back to the bathroom and put some makeup on and pin her hair in a sassy ponytail and she looked in the mirror.

She wasn't ready since she was hoping to be in the big game tomorrow to show all the boys that she can play but that thing happened. Emma sighed and moved her bangs from her face and she walked out and put some bracelets on and grabbed a necklace and heard someone knocking on the door.

"Let me in!" She heard Jessie yelled as she rolled her eyes and turned off the bedroom and bathroom lights and walked out and saw Jessie wearing her dark blue dress with the one sleeve and golden outline. She walked in with Shawn, Ava, and Jack G.

"Where's' your crutches?" Emma asked as Shawn looked down at his boot.

"I thought it would be nice to dance with Jessie without sitting down." Shawn aid with a shrug and Emma nodded and the five teens walked out to Jack G's car and Emma sat in the back next to Jesse, and Shawn was on the other side.

They was talking about everything, but not bringing up the football game tomorrow since they didn't want to ruin the night.

"Prom is going to be a good night tonight." Ava said a she looked over towards Emma, who raised her eyebrow at her friend.

"Hayes calm down! Nothing bad will happened." Matthew said trying to calm down his friend who shook his head.

"No! I have a strong feeling that'll she'll punched me in the face soon as we see each other!" Hayes exclaimed as Nash snorted as he fixed his tie.

"Can't blame her." Nash muttered as Hayes flicked off his brother, who laughed and shook his head.

"Jessie said that she wouldn't punch you, maybe run away, but not punching." Matthew said as Hayes looked over at his friend and rolled his blue eyes.

He started to pace back and forth, thinking of a ways of not getting punched. Matthew finally grabbed his friend's wrist and dragged them out to Carter's car, who was dropping them off, and Nash was telling Hayes of worst things that could happened.

Carter rolled his eyes as he pulled up and Hayes steppe doubt and looked around for Jack's car bt sighed in relief.

"Grier, what you doing?" Jack J asked a Hayes gasped but covered his chest.

"He's freaked out being punched by Emma." Nash said as he walked out and Johnson nodded but laughed as Hayes glared at him.

"Well let's go." Matthew said as they walked inside.

Hayes kept looking behind him, as Jack J was talking about new plans for some video him and Jack G want to do. Hayes finally calmed down but felt his phone buzzing and saw it was Ava saying that they was here.

Hayes closed his eyes and took a deep breathe. He walked away from his friends and walked over towards the food table and saw Emma wakling in andhe lickedhis lips and saw she was wearing a long dress, that suited her body.

He grabbed a cup and poured some punch in it and walked over towards her, and nodded towards Ava who grabbed Jack and Jessie's hand and walked away, which Shawn was sitting down as he sighed.

Hayes tapped on Emma's shoulder and she turned with a bright smile but her face dropped as soon she saw it was Hayes.

"What do you want?" Emma asked as Hayes chuckled and smiled over towards her.

"Want some punch?" He asked as he put the cup in her face she rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"No, I want to punch you though." Emma stated as Hayes placed the cup on the table and rolled his eyes.

"You don't have to be rude." Hayes said as Emma rolled her eyes.

"You didn't have to listened to your dumbass teammates but you did." Emma said as Hayes sighed and pulled at his sleeves before looking at her.

"I know I shouldn't have, but what choice did I have?" Hayes asked as Emma raised her eyebrow over towards her.

"Not listen to them and let me play the game." Emma stated as Hayes nodded but shook his head.

"But then no one would like me, if you haven't noticed that everyone likes me." Hayes said as Emma sighed and rolled her eyes.

"What's more important people liking or winning the game?" Emma asked as Hayes glared at her but kept his mouth shut.

To be honest, he didn't know what to say. She was pointing out somethings that hasn't entered his mind, he never thought about someone not liking him or him thinking that winning a game was better. It just never crossed his path till Emma came around.

"Bye Hayes." Emma said as she turned to walk away but Hayes grabbed her wrist and she turned and opened her mouth but Hayes crashed his lips against hers.
