Chapter Five

Emma walked in Greggy's room, trying to put her blonde hair in high pony tail, and she groaned as she saw Greggy was half of the bed. She grabbed his leg and pulled out the bed. Greggy yelped and Emma rolled her eyes and told him to get ready. She ran out with socked feet and pulled on her combact boots. She grabbed a random pair of shorts and a tank top and sgoved them in a drawstring bag. She sighed and saw the toast pop up, and grabbde them and placed some jelly for Greggy. 

She saw Greggy walking out with a pair of gray sweat pants, and a black Batman shirt. She sighed and handed him the toast and walked over to the sock bin, and grabbed a pair of Greggy's socks, and walked to their junk closet, and saw Greggy and her shoes. She sighed and grabbed them and walked over to Greggy, who was sitting at the island. She grabbed his feet and placed on the things as she grabbed the comb from her back pocket and started to brush his dirty blonde hair, and she sighed as the curls started to show. Greggy finished his toast and walked over to brush his teeth, and she walked in the living room to start packing Greggy's things. She sighed and saw Greggy was standing at the doorway, starting to wake up. Emma smiled and grabbed her phone and looked up the weather with it was gonna be cold. She sighed and walked back to the junk closet and pulled out Greggy's black jacket and beanie to go along with it.

"Greggy, can you fill up Killer's bowl, while I get my jacket." Emma said as Greggy nodded. Emma smiled and ran back the hallway, and grabbed her brown leather jacket. She slipped it over her white tanktop, and she walked out. She slipped on her brown winter boots over her black leggings. She saw Greggy was petting Killer, and she smiled. She grabbed his jacket and beanie and his bag. She slipped on her bag, and grabbed the house keys, and turned off all lights.

"Let's go Greggy." Emma said as Greggy nodded. Greggy said goodbye to Killer, and he opened his arms and Emma placed on his jacket, then slipped on his beanie.

Noe Greggy was Emma's little joy. She may get upset with him, but she'll do anything to protect him. She was only ten years old when he was born, and five years of taking care of him, she learned that his father one night stand, and Greggy's druggie mom, that any bad thing makes a beautiful thing. She grabbed Greggy's hand, and listened to Greggy talking about his teacher be ableing to talk in Brother Bear, Spongebob, and Winnie the Pooh voice. Emma smiled and they reached his school. Greggy sighed, and Emma picked him up, as Greggy giggled and she smiled. She brought him to his class and sat him in his chair. She gave him his bag and kissed his forehead. 

"I'll see you up after pratice, so either Jessie or Ava will come here to get you." Emma said as Greggy nodded. Emma smiled and waved at the teacher then walk out. She sighed and put her hands in her pockets and started to walk to school. Now Greggy is only five, and he learned that if his father isn't there to pick him up, Emma will be late. But when Emma is really late, she sends her best friends to pick him up. 

Emma walked in the school and saw Jessie was talking to Shawn and Jack. She smiled and Jessie walked over to her and she handed Emma coffee.

"Thanks." Emma said as Jessie nodded. They walk to her locker, and Jessie told her that Ava was sick. Emma nodded as she opened her locker and Jessie started to talk about homecoming, then Prom after homecoming weekend. Emma held in her girly scream, but failed. Jessie smiled as Emma tossed her bag in her locker and turned towards her friend and they started to talk about dress shopping, and telling Ava the whole thing.

Hayes walked in school with his brother, and ingored some dirty looks from his team mates. Nash said he'll be back, and walked over to Cameron. Hayes sighed and saw Emma talking to Jessie. Hayes sighed and walked over and Emma brown eyes met his blue eyes and she sighed. Jessie turned and made a 'o' with her lips and she walked away to Shawn.

"What do you want?" Emma asked as she shut her locker and turned towards him.

"I was gonna say, good work, from yesterday." Hayes said as Emma rolled her eyes.

"Whatever." Emma said as she started to walk away. Hayes ran over to her and grabbed her shoulder, Emma stopped and glared at Hayes.

"Em-."

"Look, I joined the team cause I like football. Not because I wanted to make a joke out of you. Frankly, I don't like you." Emma snapped as she took off Hayes hand and Hayes rolled his eyes.

"That's not true, everyone likes me." Hayes said as Emma raised her eyebrow and smirked.

"Well one person doesn't." Emma said as she walked away. Hayes jaw was slighty opened, and Emma had a victory smirk. Some people was shock, and some looked between Hayes and Emma.
