PLEASE READ THE AUTHOR'S NOTE AT THE END. HOLDS VITAL INFORMATION!
'Lucy and Liam' are no longer the names of the main characters. Since I thought their names didn't work well with the character. Their names are now, 'Zac and Maddi.' Sorry for the confusion. Xx
Enjoy
XxI flop down the the gorgeous double bed. It's a stainless steel, and the headboard is honestly beautiful with the patterns. I trace my finger on the swirls and look up to admire the room. I'm staying in the guest room. The walls are a smooth coffee cream colour and the curtains are a darker coffee. Very elegant. I wonder if Zac's room looks like this...
I don't bother to unpack and head downstairs. I see a small girl running around the hall. My face automatically curls into a smile and I kneel down. She stops running and comes towards me. ''Hello Emily? How have you been?''
When the Anderson's left, Emily was only born. She wont remember me. However I clearly remember her. She was so beautiful and so small that I felt if I touched her she would break.
''Mummy told me you were coming. She said you were very nice and you played with me when I was a baby.'' A toothy grin breaks out on my face. I hold out my index and she clutches it.
"Well, I'm Madison. You can call me whatever you want. Your mummy was right, I played with you when you were just a little baby.'' She fiddles with her overalls.
She wears a flowery top and blue overalls. Her hair is curly brown and her eyes are green. Just like her fathers. He was such a jerk.
"Zakkie said you were coming aswell.'' Just when I thought she couldn't any more cuter. Zakkie? Zachary? Dammit her cuteness level is off the charts!
"Oh is it? Did he say bad things or good things about me?"
She taps her chin thoughtfully. "He said you pushed him in the water."
I chuckle. Of course he wouldn't say that I was thrown in. "Well, did he tell you that he got his friend to chuck me in the pool first?" She shakes her head.
"Nope." Popping the 'p'. She grins and I reply, "Of course he wouldn't." I mutter under my breath.
We both slowly walk into the kitchen. I pick her up by the waist and place her gently on the counter. "Now, do you want to make some brownies with me? Lovely chocolate ones?" Her eyes widen and she squeals. "Yes,yes! I want to lick the spoon." She claps her hands in excitement. I grin and nod. I was going to do that too. Shows what a grown up I am.
Holding out the spoon for me to take, I slowly take it from Emily. "Thank you."
Emily nods. I scoop out some flour and mix it in with all the other ingredients. I mix it well and pour the mixture into a deep tin. I pop the brownie mixture into the oven. Putting the bowl into the sink, I walk back and hand the spoon to Emily. She grins and licks the spoon.
Honestly, I'm so jealous. That's the best parts of baking.
I grin at her and plant a kiss on her cheek. As I put the butter back in the fridge, I turn back to Emily and receive a cloud of flour thrown in my direction. I hear her sniggers. I look in the reflection of a clean spoon. I look a snowman. I softly glare at Emily jokingly. Her laughter stops and she looks guilty. I feel so bad, but this is the only way if my plan is going to work.
"I'm sorry." She looks down and fiddles with her fingers. I bring her chin up to look at me slowly, and blow flour at her.
We both laugh like maniacs. I take her off the counter and we both take a handful of flour before running away from each other. "I'm going to find you!!"
