What's cute about her?" His freind ask."When she tries to stand on her tiptoe to adjust her height with me.." he replied while smiling
♥️♥️♥️
"W-What? Noo!! no! I didn't-" before isha could complete her sentence her mother voice cut her off.
"Ishaa! Kya kiya tune Puri chai khud pe gira di" her mom's voice rang from the kitchen, her words making Isha's face flush an even deeper shade of red. Panicking Isha quickly shushed her mother silently begging her to stop making the situation worse in front of Abhimanyu.
Abhimanyu, on the other end couldn't hold back his amusement. He let out a soft chuckle clearly understood what happened at other line..
"Toh aaj khud pe hi chai gira di apne?" he teased his voice light but full of amusement.
The way he said 'apne' hit Isha like a surprise attack. Her stomach did a little flip and for a second she felt like she'd forgotten how to breathe Apne? From him!!! It wasn't just polite, it sounded way too charming coming from his mouth. Her cheeks turned red and she looked away mentally scolding herself for feeling all fluttery over a single word.
"Get a grip Isha! It's just word!! not a freaking love letter!" she thought but the butterflies had already done their damage.
"I... I..." Isha tried to say something but the words got stuck in her throat. She couldn't think of anything to say that would fix this mess and all she could do was hear Abhimanyu's soft chuckle on the other end making her feel both embarrassed and shy.
"Why are you so clumsy?" he asked clearly enjoying her discomfort.
Isha, still trying to process the awkwardness of the situation muttered under her breath, "Itni clumsy hun toh biwi banakar sudhar kyun nahi dete aap..."
The moment the words left her mouth she froze, her eyes widening in horror at what she'd just said. Before she could even think of how to backtrack. Abhimanyu, who had been casually sipping his own chai suddenly choked and in his shock spilled it right on his own pants.
"Sorry??" he exclaimed standing up abruptly, waiting for her reply as he couldn't believe what he just heard.
Before Isha could respond a loud voice came from Abhimanyu side.
"Abhimanyu kya kiya? Khud pe hi
chai gira di!" his mother yelled, clearly amused by her son's clumsiness.Isha bit her lip trying desperately to hold back her laughter, but the image of Abhimanyu jumping up like he'd been personally betrayed by his chai was too much. A giggle escaped before she could stop it and then another.
"Now who's the clumsy one Mr Perfect?" she teased, her voice practically dripping with smug. She giggled imagining his flustered expression on the other end.
"I mean chai gira di! Woh bhi apne hi upar tsk tsk Mr perfect!" Isha blurted and couldn't help but burst into laughter.
Abhimanyu still dabbing furiously at his pants with a towel groaned loudly. "Seriously?" he said looking at the phone as if Isha could see his death glare through it but Her laughter only grew louder.
"Sorry!! sorry!" she managed to say barely able to get the words out between her giggles.
"This is not funny Isha" Abhimanyu said grumpily though the way he said it just made her laugh even harder.
But then as her laughter started to die down, a strange silence filled the air. Both of them suddenly realized something they had been laughing and teasing each other like they'd known each other for years, but this was their first conversation. They were practically STRANGERS.
