Chapter Six

Janellys' POV

  As days go on everything continues to change. We got all of the guys a lawyer that can hopefully get them out. Let alone Will wants to kill Cristal. I mean that fire is between them. All I know is I'm not trying to have no part in that. Meanwhile Angelo's mom doesn't want me to have anything to do with her son. She thinks I'm the one who got him in jail. She has this a picture in her head that I'm the one that got him in this life style. I really didn't. I don't like the fact that I'm being blamed for all this stuff I have no control over. He's the one who got me living this life. I don't want this. I been trying to get out of Chicago. Not stay here. I have no choice now since he's locked up. I'm not going to leave him neither. I kind of dedicated my life to him after everything. It will be hard for me to let go. After all he is the first person I've ever dated, and actually love. I could just say f*ck it and leave. Then again I can't. I just need him to wake up and get his stuff together. If he does, we can move and be out. We can move and never have to look back to Chicago. We can start over.

  Today I go to the apartment. Nobody has been there since last year. I can't imagen what it looks like. When I get there I go upstairs. There's a new door, the old one is gone. But when I get inside there's a huge mess. There broken glass every where. The couches are torn. The table is broken, there's dried blood everywhere. I go to the room where the safe was suppose to be. Which I was looking for but its not longer there. I basically wasted my time coming over here. You can tell this place was the trap. I left because it stunk so bad I couldn't stand to be there no more.

  I get a call from Angelo. I pick it up. There's a bunch of yelling on the phone.

.:Phone Call:.
Janellys: Hello?
Angelo: Hey
Janellys: what's going on over there
Angelo: nothing, it's somebody's birthday over here.
Janellys: oh ok
Angelo: what you doing?
Janellys: nothing I just got home.
Angelo: from?
Janellys: i just went over to the apartment for the safe but it's not there no more. They took it.
Angelo: oh ok. So what you got planned today?
Janellys: nothing I'm just staying home.
Angelo: lazy.
Janellys: boy I do stuff everyday I need to chill some times.
Angelo: I feel you. But did you do what I told you?
Janellys: yes, I sent Perah to do it. She said she took it to the place but they wasn't trying to give her the money for it. So she came back and I went with her. I had to take care of some stuff there but we good. We don't have to worry bout them and I got the money.
Angelo: that's my girl right there. Babe you turning into a lowkey thug.
Janellys: because you not here!
Angelo: I know I know.
Janellys: and I told you I got you. Always.
Angelo: well I got to go because my time is running out.
Janellys: okay baby, stay safe and remember to call me when ever you get the chance.
Angelo: aight bye, I love you.
Janellys: I love you too babe, bye.
....

  After I got off the phone with him. I got an instant flash back. Right back to the time I was at my aunts house when I was 15. We were all outside in the pool. My older cousin Antwan called me inside. "Janellys, can you come help me inside." I ran inside. "What you need help with?" I asked. He walked up to his room. "It's in my room." I followed him to his room. I was confused when we got there. "What do you need help with in here?" It didn't look like anything needed to be fixed or needed help with. I just stood there as he sat on his bed. "Come here." "For what?" I asked. He wasn't making any sense to me. He got up and grabbed me. I tried to push him away and he forced me into his bed. I started to scream for help. But because I forgot, they were playing music outside. Nobody could hear me. Nobody could hear. Nobody could help. I was helpless. He rapped me. I cried and screamed. When he was finished he left. He left me there. All I could do is sit there and cry. When I got up and went down stairs, i tried to make it to the back door, he stopped me. "What are you doing?" I didn't say anything. I tried to not even look him in his face. He disgusted me. For life. His older sister Victoria came inside. She seen there was blood on my bathing suit. "What happened? Janellys?" I was so into shock I could talk. I tried but I couldn't. I just couldn't talk. "Janellys! What the f*ck happened?" All I could do is grab her and hold her. I broke down crying even more as I fell to the floor at her feet. "Antwan what the f*ck happened to her? What did you do!" He laughed. She ran after him and started fighting him. "What the f*ck did you do to her." She started crying, while she had him on the floor she kept hitting him till there was blood. She got up and grabbed me. She picked me up and took my upstairs to her bathroom. She put me in the bath tub and stripped me. "Janellys. I need you to tell me what happened baby girl." She kept crying. I looked up at her, "he rapped me. He made me..." I couldn't finish what I was going to say. I started to break down again. She washed me up and gave me some clothes. She left and came back for me. When she came back she helped me get dressed. "Janellys, make a promise to me please. Keep this between us. Make sure nobody knows. I promise he won't ever touch you again. Baby girl promise me." I looked at her. The only reason I had promised her is because she was my favorite cousin. And before all this I was always her favorite. We were close. And because she was tapped when she was younger also, I promised her.

  When I snapped out of the memory. I cried, I sat there at my kitchen table and cried. I never seen him after that day. I remember when I had gotten pregnant, and no body knew except me and Victoria. I remember everything. I got up, "I don't have time for this shit. Not right now." I got up and started cleaning.

  Alex and Shelly came through. The came to chill with me for a little bit. "How's Kevin?" I asked Ahna. "He's good, he gets out next month. His father put money on for the bail. Kevin got out on good behavior and probabtion." "That's good. He's finally getting out." I was happy for her. She's a good girl that got sucked into all of this. She doesn't need any of this and Kev better get his life together, and do good by her. "That means he need to not get in trouble and stay clean." I told her, I was worried about that Angelo might not get out. He might be in there for a while. I don't know when he's getting out. Alex started talking about how she left her man too. I don't blame them. They want out of this life style. I want out but I just began. It's not over till I'm ready to be done, and I ain't done.

  This is only just the beginning.
