...goodbye merry....
Safe and sound on merry felt familiar the sea soothing the aching brunette as bandages are wrapped tightly around her chopper nearly in tears with just how much blood the women had lost
"I'm okay chopper" she soothes patting his head the reindeer sniffled as he finished up looking up to her before singing softly
"I'm glad.." He murmurs leaning into her chest the women wrapping her arms around the small reindeer lifting him into her arms as they cuddle in silence
That silence was soon broken by luffy who screams out for ussop choppers ears twitching at the familiar name
Walking out she saw the crew watching the captain as he screams from the floor not be able to move, chopper jumps from honeys arms and rushing over to him lifting him
"Carful, you're both still hurt!" Honey calls out as she steps next to Robin her eyes going to sniper King with a frown as sanji snaps at him quietly the long nosed boy panicking
"Stop playing hide and seek!" Luffy demands and honey hears robin giggle the brunette smiling to the raven haired women there fingers interlocking
Luffy soon asks sniper king where ussop was the masked man saying he went off alone much to the captains confusion
"You're kidding.. if they hadent figured it out yet then what's it gonna take?" Zoro grumbles honey smirking
"I've checked everywhere! Looks like we're the only ones on the ship!" Nami calls as she walks up to the crew
"That's odd" honey quips
"The merry didn't Saul itself here did it?" Nami jokes slightly
"Ofcourse not. Someone was calling us, the whole crew heard it" zoro frowns
"No.. it could very well be merry" honey says getting the groups attention as she looks to franky who seems to be thinking the same thing
"Yeah! It was merry! It had to be!" Luffy cheers from atop of chopper
"Hey look guys!" Luffy points ahead and the group turn to see a huge ship coming there way the large sail saying galley-la company on it and honey smiles
"AHOY! WHATS UP ICE POPS!" luffy laughs out as he greets the blue haired man ahead
Suddenly the exitment was shatterd as the merry creeks the front falling forward roughly making the crew stumble
"Merry!" Sniper king calls out
"Whys it falling apart all of a sudden?!"
"There's nothing sudden about it.. we all knew this was enviable" sanji sighs
It was hopeless.. merry was at rhe end of her road, the crew pile onto small boats as luffy stands before them all's taking at the merry
"Well.. guys you ready?" Luffy asks the group nodding as there captain lights the wood
"Merry.. the seabed is a dark and lonely place.. but don't worry were hear to see you off" he says softly to the ship raising the stick and setting it alight the flames quickly spreading
"Maybe it was good that ussop wasn't here.. there's no way he could bear this"
"Is that true?" Zoro asks not turning to sniper King to his right
"Ofcoure it isn't.." sniper king says firmly "we must all say our farewells someday. Every man knows that"
The fire burns through the wood to the posts and sails burning merry to rest as the crew look on
"Thank you for carrying us for so long for so far, merry.." luffy thanks
The small specks of light glisten down from the sky and honey smiles as they slowly and elegantly land on her hand she new, it was merry
Her throat tightens as a familiar feeling of loss fills her a small sigh leaving her lips before a large callous hand wraps around hers and she looks up to the taller swordsman who keeps his expression neutral
Chopper whimpers from below them honeys hand meeting his hat in a comforting gesture
The sail falls the ship cracking to the side
Then they hear it.
"I'm sorry" a soft voice spoke
"I wanted to carry everyone just a little bit further.." She spoke the voice cracking as honeys hand tightens around zoros, chopper leaning into her legs
"I had so much fun.. I wish our adventures would never end.."
"Merry.!" Chopper whimpers as nami croaks out a sob crouching to the ground
Honeys eyes fog over as the tears slowly and stubbornly fall
"But I'm sorry i-"
"No merry! If anyone should apologise it's us!" Luffy called out, voice shaky
"I'm no good at steering.. I ran you into icebergs and all kinds of stuff! I took bad care of you and ripped your sails!" Luffy whimpers
"Zoro and sanji are idiots to! They were breaking your stuff all the time! Ussop tried to fix you but he wasn't any good at it! If anyones sorry! Its- it's us!" Luffy yells sobs racking his body
"I don't mind. I was happy." She soothes comfortingly "I know you always treated me with love. Thank you.."
"Even if the time wespent together was short.. im glad.. that I could spend it with you.." and with that the fire engulfed the last of there beloved merry, there friend..
