"SERENA, MY GOSH," My mum sighed, shaking her head as she tore open the curtains. Almost instantly my room was flooded with light.

Ugh.

"I don't want to go to school," I moaned, wincing when I tried to turn away from the light. "I am tired."

My whole body was sore from yesterday's hide-and-seek and I was sure that a leg or arm would certainly fall off the moment I get up.

I don't even remember how I got home yesterday.

After me and Ash had went back and collected Dawn and Gary, who were shivering from the cold, I passed out on the ride home. Like, literally

I don't want to think much about yesterday night because I don't feel like getting a headache but I hope it was Dawn who carried me to my room and not one of the boys.

Why? Because I would rather not have anyone look at my dirty undergarments on the floor, or the tubes of Pringles on the floor, or worse, my secret stash of BL mangas.

Yes, even animals live in a cleaner places than me.

"Tired?" Mum arched a brow. "Tired doing what? Sneaking out at night and stealing stuff?"

"How do you know . . .?" I mumbled, yawning as I finally forced myself to get up.

Mum rolled her eyes, dismissing my words as sarcasm. "Come downstairs and have breakfast. And drag that little brat Dawn downstairs on your way."

DAWN DROVE US TO SCHOOL as I sat in the passenger seat, drinking my strawberry-banana smoothie.

"Hey," I said nervously. "Can you turn the wheel around to Leslie's cafe? I don't feel like going to school is a great idea."
