37| Orea and Discretions.

As they settled in to the house, Emily helped Orea arranged the plates on the dinning table while Ceaser and Ray played with the kids. "So, have you told him?" Emily questioned, placing the utensils on the plates that Orea bad placed down.

"No." Orea shrugged. "Maybe after dinner, I don't know what he will think of it and I don't think I can deal with him getting annoyed at me. I swear this baby is making me softer, I can't even tell him to fuck off without crying ugh!" Emily chuckled, her Blue eyes sparkling, a stark difference to a few months ago during her post-natal issues. Half of her black cropped hair was packed in a half bun while she left the rest to cascade down her shoulder.

"Yeah, pregnancy does that to you and don't get me started on the post-natal, their screams can drive you crazy."

"Ugh, I don't know what to do!" Orea groaned. Now seated as her legs ache.

"You can't do much, just tell him then we can go shopping in order to celebrate his approval."

"What makes you think he will approve?"

"Why wouldn't he?" Orea shrugged, bitting the inside of her lips, an habit she learned from Emily. "Come on Rea, this guy has been with you through the worse, what is so hard in telling him you want to name your daughter after you best friend? He wouldn't object to that. We all know how much her death took a toll on you. Besides, you can always give him a hard time if he keeps playing hard to get."

Orea let out a laugh. "And here I was taking back my words on how frustrating you are."

"You are welcome." Emily winked. "It will be alright, now stand up and help me serve the food." While they served the food, Adeline arrived, including Carol who also had a little bulge in tummy, Orea welcomed her with open arms.

"I am glad you came."

"I missed you."

"I know, I missed your sorry ass too." Carol chuckled, hands on her tummy. "So, how is my God son doing?"

"Great, I just went for the scan, he will be here anytime soon." No one knew the father of the child, it had been a one time thing and Carol had a hard time deciding whether to keep it or not, but when she called Orea and told her of the issue, Orea had adviced her friend to do what she thought was best, so Carol decided to keep the child. "Let's all sit."

They all sat down at Orea's word, digging in their food immediately, Orea asked Adeline about college, and her abuelo, the Carol about how the new branch of Alea's Sweetness was fairing. Then they all laughed at little josh who pouted as he smeared food all over his cheek yet refused to allow anyone feed him. After eating, Orea raised a glass and hit it with a spoon to get the other's attention.

"So, today, we celebrate a six years of Sweetness. It had been hard, every single time till now yet, with resilience, prayer, dedication and hard work, we made it. Despite those we lost, we have made it this far and I know we will rise to higher length." Orea held Ceaser's hand beneath the table. "Today is not only the celebration of Sweetness but also the death anniversary of Alea, a sweet little girl that left the earth to soon."

She glanced at Carol. "I... I just want to say thank you all for being here with us, for celebrating with us despite yourself. Thank you all." She picked up the glass of blueberry juice before her and raised it us. "To Alea's Sweetness!"

"To Alea's Sweetness!" They all cheered before drinking in the contents in their cups. After the little introduction, they returned to chatting and catching up, the meeting was soon wrapped up and Orea found herself alone with her husband once again, her head laying on his shoulder as he played his hand through her hair. Then she decided to tell him what had been bothering her.
