35| Carol In Discretion.

All she had seen had been too much for her, moving to a new environment did help but Orea was will aware that the sight of blood she seen from Lucian's eye will forever leave her traumatized. Ceaser had been busy, a new case was at hand that wasn't as severe as the last one, beside, the case had hot him promoted so he hardly had time to help as they moved to the new neighborhood.

She sat on the couch, eyes looking ahead as she thought of how her friends had sacrificed so much for her to leave, was she worth it? Was she really worth so much of their sacrifices? She couldn't even stop having nightmares and she needed Ceaser there with her all time. "I miss you so much Ana. Everyday without you, my heart hurts! I miss you damaged hair." Orea chuckled. "Your long lashes that leaves me envious, you sharp retorts, your tease. I miss telling you with clothe suits you the most."

Her hands played with the ring on her finger as silence ensued once again, it was getting dark and Ceaser would arrive anytime, Orea hated to see the look in his eyes whenever he returns and spots her red, puffy eyes. He was getting drained. Actually, Orea expected him to have left her to the dead already, she expected him to have abandoned her and broken up with her already. A chuckle left her lips. That was the way Liliana thought not Orea.

After all the shit she had been through, trusting anyone had been hard for Liliana. The ringing of the door bell brought Orea out of reverie, she ran to the kitchen and washed her face before going to check who it was, hoping it wasn't her lousy neighbor, Emily, the lady annoyed Orea to no end. To her surprise, it was Carol. "Carol!" Orea gasped, tears glistening in her eyes once again.

"Hey!"

"Hey!" There was silence for a while before Orea spoke again. "Come in." Carol offered her a tight liped smile before walking in. "Coffe?" Orea asked her as Carol sat.

"No thank you, I won't take that long." Orea nodded and sit down, as she sat, she assessed her, the last time they had met, they bawled their eyes out as their sat by Ana's grave. "How have you... How have you been?"

"I have been good... You?"

"I... I have been... To be honest, I have been horrible. I can't, I still can't believe I went through that."

"Neither can I... I can't believe she is gone either."

Silence prevailed once again, the two knew what they had been through, it would be hard for anyone to even go through half of it. "I just wanted to let you know that I want to... I will be moving to Oregon-- I don't know when i will be back or if I will at all."

"You... You are leaving." Me? She couldn't adds the words.

"Everything that has happened has been too much, I can't, I can't stay here any longer." Orea nodded, playing with the ring on her finger.

"I understand, just... Don't forget about me okay?" Her voice cracked as she spoke.

"I know. Take care of yourself and... Ceaser is a good man, don't loose him." Orea caught the hint of jealousy in her voice yet she nodded, she would be jealous too had she been the one to go through so much.

"I just want you to know that, you are not a friend, you are my sister and no matter what, no matter where you are or where you may go, I will always love you and there will always be a space in my heart for you."

Carol nodded. "Take care of by baby."

Orea understood what she meant, there was no need for Carol to say more, Alea's Sweetness. They had named it after her dead daughter. "I will, take care of yourself too." Orea took of the other ring in her finger and held it out to Carol, laughing, Carol took it from her hand. "Take care of that too. Use it to remember me."

"Turns out I get to have it afterall, I spent year asking you for it. You stingy pig." Orea laughed, tears rolling down her cheek despite how hard she tried to hold them.

"Take care of yourself Ore, I love you." Not wanting to cry, Orea pulled her in for a hug. Carol left that night, having prepared her stuff already. When Ceaser returned, Orea told him of Carol's decision.

"She had to leave. It was for the best." He told her. With everything Carol had been through, she just needed to change places, the town wasn't for her. She needed a change of scenery and she needed to meet new people who would make living worth it. Orea had met her own love. Carol needed to meet hers too. "Don't worry, she will be fine and so will you. I am here for you too."

"I know, and I am here for you too." Orea knew how hard everything had taken a toll on him and she needed to be strong for the both of them just like he was trying to be for them. "I love you."

"I love you too, more than life itself."

As time passed, Orea still continued baking at Alea's Sweetness. She added more cuisine to her work and the shop returned to it's former state, she had to hire more workers , it was hard working with anyone that wasn't Carol but she had to, Carol herself had entrusted Alea's Sweetness to her despite the fact that they began it together, so making it bloom was her way of paying her back.

Soon, the town folks forgot about the incident little by little till no one spoke of it again, but those that had been through it would never forget. Orea would never forget all she had been through nor everything her friend had been through, nor Liliana, the sister she had lost or the trauma she had been through in the hand of Lucian who she would never forgive.

Life had thrown so much hardship her way, though it's hard, Orea promised herself to live her life, no matter how hard it would take and she knew, no matter what, Ceaser would always be there with her, just like be had always been since the moment they met and she would be there for him too, no matter what the future throws their way.
