Chapter 17

BOOM

-A few months later-
'What?!' They all say at the same time.
'You guys are not dating??' View asks.
'No.' I reply.
'So all you did was go on a date like six months ago and now you're back to friends? What the hell. Boom you like him!' Gun says.
'What should I do? I mean like I do want to date him but I can't just go to him and saw that.' I say.
I Then look at the clock in the cafeteria.
10:30 a.m.
'I have my class right now, I am going bye' I say as I get up.
'Isn't that the class I have with you? Wait for me Boom, let me pack this all up.' Film says.
'Hmm. Come quick.' I reply.

'Boom, Boom wake up.' Film says to me as I open my eyes.
Boom : What happened? Is the class over?
Film : Yes it is. Do you know that you slept the whole time?
Boom : I hardly got any sleep last night. I was doing the assignment we got.
Film : Ohkay. What is up between you and Aou?
Boom : I don't know.
Film : I feel like he doesn't want to talk about your relationship because he thinks you are still depressed about your father's death.
Boom : I guess so.
Film : He did not come to University today, right?
Boom : Yeah. He said they were moving him to a new house so he had to help with the stuff.
Film : Ohkay. By the way why don't you talk to him about your relationship?
Boom : Are you crazy? I can't do that.
Film : Do you want me to talk to him?
Boom : No.
Film : Boom. I can't help you if you don't want to be helped.
Boom : Just get up, let's go back.

SANTA

'Phi'Aou, this is my room, right?' I say.
He doesn't hear me.
He is zoned out and is looking at some boxes.
'Phi?' I say again.
'Phi' are you listening?' I say.
'Huh, what are you saying?' he asks me.
'I am asking you if this is my room.' I reply.
'Oh yes it is.' he says.
I then continue keeping my stuff.
My room in this house is quite bigger than the previous one.
There is even a wooden board here where I'll pin some pictures.
I empty out a box which had my clothes.
'Phi, where shall I keep this?' I ask him.
Once again he doesn't listen to me.
Santa : Phi?
Santa : Phi! Are you listening?
Aou : Huh? What are you saying? What happened now?
Santa : What happened to you? I have been asking you from 5 minutes now, where shall I keep this box?
Aou : Keep it downstairs.
Santa : What happened to you phi'? Are you okay?
Aou : Yes, I am fine.
Santa : You can't lie to me. I am your brother. I know you. What happened to you?
Aou : I am worried.
Santa : Worried? About what?
Aou : I don't know what's going on between me and Boom. We went on a date some months ago when he confessed to me but I feel he is still sad about his father's death.
Santa : Ohhhhh phi'. Come on. Do you like him?
Aou : We have kissed once when I was drunk and I did like it. I won't mind dating him too.
Santa : Why don't you talk to him?
Aou : I can't talk to him like that. It's wierd.

That's when a sound comes from downstairs.
'Aou! Santa! Come down and help me with this!' Mom says.
'Come phi'. Let's go.' I say to him.
We both get up and go down.

'Aou, can you go and buy some bread?' Mom says to him.
'Yes sure mom. I am going then, bye.' he says as he goes.
A few minutes later the bell rings.
I go at the door to see who it is.
It's phi' Film.
Santa : Oh? Phi'Film sawadeekhap.
Film : Sawadeekha Santa. Is Aou home?
Santa : Nope. He just went out.
Film : Can you give these lecture notes to him? He asked me to give them to him.
Santa : Okay, I will.
Film : Also, can I talk to you about something?
Santa : Yes? Oh and please come inside.

'Here you go phi'. It's coffee. It's not like the one phi'Aou makes. It's better. Mom made it.' I say to phi'Film.
Film : Thank you so much Santa.
Santa : You wanted to talk to me?
Film : Oh yes. I wanted to ask if you can talk to Aou about something.
Santa : Talk about what?
Film : The thing is that Boom has lately been worried about what's going on between him and Aou. You know that they went on a date a few months ago, right? But then Boom's father died and I think Aou did not want to talk to Boom about anything about their relationship.
Santa : Shia! Phi' that's so complicated! But what you think is correct. Today morning Phi'Aou was also worried about the same thing but for some reason he won't talk to phi'Boom.
Film : Boom also won't talk to Aou because he thinks it is wierd. Do you think you can convince Aou? I can convince Boom.
Santa : I can try. I don't know if he will listen to me or not.
Film : Thank you so much na.

That's when phi'Aou comes in.
Aou : Oh Film? What are you doing here?
Film : I gave to give you the lecture notes. They are with Santa, he will give them to you.
Aou : You are going now?
Film : Oh yes. I came for that. Bye.

PERTH

I hope this is the correct house.
Santa told me the address of his new house and I think it is this one.
I ring the bell.
No one comes so I ring it again.
Still no one.
'Oh Perth? That's not the house, it's this one.' says a voice from behind.
I look back to see Phi'Aou standing there.
Perth : Sawadeekhap phi'. Is Santa home? I am here to pick him up.
Aou : Yes, he is. Santa! Come out! Perth is here! Where are you both going by the way?
Perth : We are going to my house. We have a group project to work on.
Aou : Only you both?
Perth : Uh no. Some of my other friends will be there too.
Santa : Oh? You're here. Let's go!
Aou : By what time will you be back Santa?
Santa : I guess by 8.
Aou : Okay. I will come to pick you up.
Santa : No need. Perth will drop me.
Aou : Okay then. Bye.
Santa : Bye Phi'!

'Ohhh! This is so difficult! It has not even been a month since our new class started and they have already given us a project which we have to submit by the end of the week!' says Dunk.
'Don't act like it is that difficult to do. All we have to do is get information online and compile them together.' Pond says.
'Guys! Do you know that girl in our class - Sam? She is dating the school president.' Book says.
But there talk is not where my attention is.
I am thinking about how possessive Phi'Aou is of Santa.
He was so curious to know who all are coming to my house except of Santa.
Also when Santa said I will be the one dropping him he stay that me like I was going to eat his brother or something.
'What happened to you?' Santa asks me.
Santa : You are zoned out when Book is telling some interesting school stuff.
Perth :  I am thinking about that your brother is so possessive of you.
Santa : He is not that possessive. He has lately been worried about some things. Don't worry, I'll talk to him when I go home.
Perth : Okay. Let's hope he gets fine.

AOU

'Thank you so much for the food, mom. It was so good today. I am going upstairs now na.' I say as I go to my room.
Ugh. What a wierd day.
I am so worried about my relationship with Boom.
What am I supposed to do?
I will see him tomorrow also in University. I can't avoid him forever.
That's when Santa comes.
Santa : Phi'! I will sleep in your room with you tonight. Things in my one are very messed up.
Aou : Okay.
Santa : Are you still worried about that?
Aou : Hmm.
Santa : I think you should talk to him.
Aou : I don't want to. What is he doesn't want to talk to me?
Santa : What if he does want to talk to you and thinks the same as you do?
Aou : I don't know.
Santa : Phi' nothing would happen until you talk to him. Things are not going to get sorted out.
Aou : Hmm. I think I should talk to him. But when?
Santa : In the university only. After class.
Aou : Okay.
