The Beauty

"WHAT!" My eyes nearly bulge out of my sockets as I hear the woman on my phone. "You are joking, right?"

"No," Her voice was almost hesitant. She wasn't the one to hesitate. "I actually got married."

What. The. Fuck?

I put down the phone from my ears and stare at it dumbfounded for a moment before putting it back in my ears. "Explain, your highness."

A deep breath was heard on the other end. Do I always have to find all the insane people on earth and somehow get related to them? First that damn Aviraj Oberoi and now Ana, too? After a pause she decided to open her mouth. "Long story short, Remember the debt I talked about a few days ago?"

"Yeah?" I ask, straightening up. "What about it?"

"He paid it and gave me the condition to marry him. Its a contract marriage and I'll be free once I pay back." She replies, that tone of hesitation again. In my five years of friendship with this woman, I have never seen her hesitate. Last time I remember, she told a guy to stop staring at her breasts directly at his face and added 'You stink, go take a bath first. No woman wants garbage.' And that guy? He was the fucking manager. Did she hesitate? No.

"Okayy, but who's this guy?" I ask, curious, suspicious as well. "And why would he pay that much amount for you?"

"Remember the guy I bumped into the day we got a new CEO?"

I search my memory trying to remember. "Please don't say it is what I am thinking?"

"Yupp."

God? You seriously need to stop popping weird people in my life. Insane people, to be specific.

"Wow! How romantic!" I say sarcastically. "Match made by bumping."

She lets out a small chuckle. Then it clicks in my mind and all sarcasm fades. He was Mr. Oberoi's friend. " But.. Ana.." My voice turns worried now. "He.."

"I know." She says, her own voice a bit uncertain.

"But why did he help you?"

"I'll tell you in short," She starts, "But first promise you won't judge."

"When have I ever judged you?" I say, almost curious of what actually happened. "Just say it."

"Actually... I.. Umm, broke into his house." My eyes widen impossibly round as I stare at the wall in front of me in disbelief.

Holy shit.

I stay silent incapable of forming a coherent thought. She continues, "And I was trying to escape, when. . . when he caught me."

"Holy shit, Ana! What have you done?" God, this piece of headache..

"That's not the main part." She let out warily.

"That's not the main part!" I stand up in disbelief, the things she's saying, Oh god. I roam accross the room as I speak, "There's more?"

"While running, I . . . I punched him . . . and burnt him with his own cigar."

I almost choke on my spit.
What did I say about hesitate?
Yeah, that shit doesn't exist in her.
