Caterpillar

Ugly, wormy, prickly,
Wriggling, struggling,
Sneered upon,
Prodded, poked at unfairly.

I am but a caterpillar,
Navigating through life,
In pain and strife,
Let me be.

I am nestled in my cocoon,
Still growing, blooming,
Leave me alone,
I am resting, can't you see?

When the time is right,
My cocoon shall break,
A new life will shine bright,
Then I'll be a real sight.

Now just a caterpillar,
Resting in my cocoon,
Let the tree of life sway,
One day I will find my own way.

Now just a caterpillar,Resting in my cocoon,Let the tree of life sway, One day I will find my own way
