Closing your phone after relaxing for a while, you decide it's time to get started on some songs for the album you announced. Although still a little sluggish, you make your way to the studio, wanting to make the best out of the day.
You sat at your computer, ruminating on the night before, Kai'sas beauty and the romance between you two. You wanted to make a cooler rap song though, nothing too lovey-dovey but still appreciating her beauty.
You spend a couple of hours scouring your brain for a good beat, testing different melodies and samples, before finally clicking with one, a repeating sharp violin with a rhythmic backing bass track and a melodic cello once the main beat starts.
Proud and satisfied with this turnout, you began to write some lyrics, thinking of your time with Kai'sa, imagining the two of you coasting along in your black McLaren, looking like a king and queen.
The lyrics came naturally. You rapped about the high life, about keeping your girl away from you. You threw in lines about gold diggers and girls who try to baby trap, with some clever analogies and rhyming. You also write some funny lines, making fun of girls who think they are different, talking about peoples ego's and how they contradict themselves to get what they want. it was full of silly references and funny lyrics, but you kept the rhymes cool and fast, letting them flow perfectly.
You began singing, making sure you sing more melodically on the chorus.
'baby you're the baddest, baby you're the baddest girl and uh, Nobody else matters, nobody else matters'
You rap skilfully and it doesn't take you too many takes to get through the main part of the song, and after a quick break you finished the lyrics off with a similar take as the chorus. Replaying the verse over you mixed it into the beat, making sure it lined up correctly.
By the time you finished, it was late in the night, so you quickly saved it and got some dinner before getting knocked out on your messy bed.
Waking up the next day, you wanted to get straight into the studio to do your next song, this time going for a more chill rap song, wanting to stretch out your rhymes and enhance them even more.
You leaned back in your chair and stretched before opening up a fresh project, you wanted something different—something relaxed, the kind of track you put on during a summer drive, or while watching the blue skies and blazing sun past your window.
A soft, rolling bassline settled into place first, followed by light piano that felt almost weightless. A crisp drum beat kicked in, laid-back but hypnotic, giving the whole track a certain fluidity. It was a song that moved effortlessly, no rush, just smooth, effortless rhythm.
This one wasn't about a single moment or a single person. It was about mindless rhyming large words together with a cool undertone, flexing your creativity and skill with rhyming.
This song was different—it was the kind of track that people could just feel, even without thinking too much about it. The melody, the flow, the chill production—everything about it screamed cool casual music.
Hours passed, and by the time you finally leaned back and finished the track, you could feel the album coming together. It was going to be a mix of different emotions, different sounds, but all of it was you—your life, your thoughts, your experiences wrapped in music.
