Darkest Lusts

There is fire in me
which burns bright.
It's something you do not see
As I keep it out of sight.

Beneath my smiles and laughs
There is a darkness swallowing my heart.
It splits me in half
and sets me apart.

I am light and dark
Though it may not seem so.
It is as savage as a shark
Which devours me as I go.

I am mad.
It's hard to hide.
I'm also sad.
But everyone lets that slide.

No one pays attention.
No one sees the signs.
Oh did I forget to mention
That my life has just been lies.

Under my cheery personality
Which I feed to you all,
I am a man of individuality
And I want to burn you all.

No one can see
That we all hide the darkness within us.
Please can you save me
Before I give in to my darkest lusts?
