Are we friends?
Take my hand.
Do you feel it?
It's cold.
Like your eyes.

They're calculating,
Analysing me.
Why do you do that?
I've done nothing wrong.
Or have I?

Is it friendly to
Say I like you,
But wish you could just
die.
I think not.

Are we friends?
Just because we don't like
Each other,
Doesn't mean we can't be.
You don't control the

Rules.
What if I hugged you when
You needed it?
And listened to your
Outlandish schemes?

Would we be friends then?
I would try,
Just to be Your friend.
Is it just me,
Or are these things silly?

We laugh together,
We eat together
Sing together
Rage together
And love together.

So why aren't we friends?
I try as much as I can.
Don't you?
I would do anything for you.
But what about you?

Would you take a punch for me?
Or stroke my shaking head,
As I cry in your arms?
Would you even think to check,
If I was smiling each day.

Are we friends?
I think it matters not.
No matter what you say or do,
And it's the same with me
There will always be chemistry.
