The night was eerily quiet as Mr. Mark Johnson’s car sped through the dimly lit streets, heading back to the Johnson mansion. His security convoy followed close behind, but just as they reached an isolated stretch of road, multiple black SUVs surrounded them. Within seconds, masked men with weapons emerged, guns flashing under the streetlights.

"Ambush!" shouted the driver, swerving to avoid the roadblock. Mr. Johnson barely had time to react before bullets rained down on the car, shattering the windows. His guards fought back fiercely, but they were outnumbered. A masked figure approached the car, pulling open the door.

"Mr. Johnson, your time is up," the man sneered, raising his gun.

But before he could fire, the police sirens wailed in the distance, forcing the assassins to retreat. Mr. Johnson clutched his side, blood seeping from a graze wound. His bodyguards rushed him to the hospital.

Scene: At the Hospital – The Aftermath

The Johnson mansion was in chaos. Joong and Pond rushed to the hospital, their faces twisted in rage and worry. The moment they entered the hospital room, their mother, Susan, and Maya were sitting beside Mr. Johnson, their eyes red from tears.

Joong clenched his fists. "Who did this?" His voice was sharp, filled with barely contained fury.

Pond’s jaw was tight. "Whoever they are, they just made the biggest mistake of their lives."

The doctor entered, his expression serious. "Mr. Johnson is stable, but he needs complete bed rest. The attack caused severe stress on his heart, and any further strain could be dangerous. He cannot handle business meetings or any tension for now."

Susan wiped her tears. "That means both of you must handle everything."

Joong and Pond shared a look. Their personal battles with their husbands were momentarily pushed aside.

Joong nodded. "We’ll take care of everything. But first, we need to find out who dared to attack our father."

Pond smirked darkly. "And once we do, they’ll regret ever being born."

A storm was brewing in the Johnson family, and whoever had orchestrated the attack was about to face the full wrath of Joong and Pond Johnson.

Mr. Johnson lay in bed, his face still pale but his eyes filled with warmth as he watched his sons-in-law, Dunk and Phuwin, attentively care for him. They had been by his side ever since the attack, ensuring he had everything he needed.

Maya and Susan sat beside them, smiling proudly.

"You both are such blessings to this family," Maya said, gently patting Phuwin’s hand.

Susan nodded in agreement. "We always imagined welcoming daughters-in-law, but having you two feels just as special. You’ve been taking care of Mark as if he were your own father."

Dunk and Phuwin exchanged smiles, their hearts swelling with warmth at the acceptance and love they received from their new family.

Just then, Mark cleared his throat. "There’s something I need to tell you both," he said, reaching for a letter on the nightstand. "Your aunt from Germany wrote to us. There’s good news."

Dunk and Phuwin immediately perked up. "What is it, Dad?" Phuwin asked, eyes filled with curiosity.

Mark handed the letter to them, a small smile playing on his lips. "It’s about Fourth. His condition has improved. The doctors are seeing real progress in his recovery."
