Working at an office is a tiring job, especially one in a big city that often gets a lot of traction, dealing with A-list clients and all that. Having to commute at least thirty minutes through insane traffic twice a day is hell, and not to mention all the times you've been sent out to grab lunch or coffee for the whole team. Even though you work in the same department and have the same workload as them, you're the newest hire AND you have a problem with being a pathological people pleaser. All your coworkers are so annoying, especially the creepy old dudes who think no one sees when they ogle. Plus the copy machine is always malfunctioning, you would've thought such a big company would be able to afford functional equipment. These are all struggles you live with on a daily basis, but the worst of all?

Your boss.

She's a cunning businesswoman, no doubt excellent at her job. Her good ideas and power moves are top notch, and she's hot. No one says it to her face, but she definitely knows that she's the talk of the building. You know exactly where she is at any given moment, since there's always a stir of excitement that follows her like a shadow. If she's on the fourth floor, everyone knows she's on the fourth floor. All of a sudden people are taking long bathroom breaks, a crappy excuse for running down the stairs to try to catch a glimpse of her before she returns to the top floor. With her unwavering determination and her intimidating aura, everyone practically crumbles at her fingertips. Always professional, always straight to business. However, there's a side of her that most people will never know about. Deep down, under that cutthroat exterior, she's a major tease.

More often than not, you find yourself being discreetly called to her office for no reason. It stresses you out, and if you don't show up in the span of five minutes she'll personally go find you. She doesn't even give a damn if you're in the middle of something or you just got called up an hour ago. Weird and a bit creepy, right? Well, it would be if you weren't currently dating her right now.

disappearances, they're definitely not buying your on the spot excuses anymore. Actually, you're pretty sure some of them have it against you for getting so many breaks. Not only is it annoying and risky, but she isn't even trying to keep you guys a secret. Of course you would love to be open about her if you could, but it would definitely be inappropriate if people found out you were dating your boss. Aside from the whispers, they would also probably deem you unfit for promotions or moving up the ladder. Yet you can't even pretend you don't long for those little trysts, because everything about her is addicting.

Here you are again, clacking away at your computer when the phone on your desk rings. It's a Tuesday in January, and you've been in a slump for the past few weeks since the new year started. Sharing New Year's Day with Taylor was the most heartwarming thing you've ever experienced and you love the holidays in general, so adjusting to another year of slaving away has not been easy. Today especially has felt tough, and you've really been trudging through your work. When the call comes in, you already know what it's gonna be, which honestly makes you happier already.

"Yes, ma'am," you reply briskly, saving your files. The girl in the cubicle next to yours gives you a look, scoffing. "Again? Where are you off to now?"

"Uhm, just, you know. HR called," you mumble.

"I don't buy it," she scoffs, "Why don't you tell us where you really go? It's not fair you're always skipping work."
