hello and thank you for the requests! heres the part 2 of this story <3 hope you enjoy
The beach was just as warm as it always is. No matter what happened or where you were in life, it stayed the same comforting place you grew up in. You were walking around the shore line, one foot in front of the other, trying to keep your balance. As the wind blows throughout the air, a sharp gust almost topples you over. A hand slips up to your back, catching you. Taylor looks down at you, a smile on her face as she carefully tips you over. It was your anniversary, a wonderful three years since the day she moved in. You both had finished highschool, but thinking about what to do next was a bit dreadful.
"Hey, careful! I'm a delicate thing," you say playfully, clutching the collar of her white button up to bring her closer.
"I'll drop you if you keep doing that," she laughs, struggling slightly as your hand weighs her down.
Ignoring her warning, you continue pulling her until you're able to give her a chaste kiss on the lips. Taylor gives in and gives you one back, before pretending to let go. She lets you squeal as you fall about an inch, before grabbing your waist and hugging you.
"You didn't think I would do that, did you?" she questions with a smirk.
You roll your eyes, slapping her arm slightly, "Shut up."
Taylor breaks her gaze from you, looking up at the sky. It was nearing golden hour, with the sun beginning to lower down. She grabs your hand and interlocks her fingers in yours, with twinkling eyes. The blonde begins tugging you along, leading the way and leaving footsteps in the sand.
"What's the rush, Tay?" you ask confusedly.
"Just come along!" Taylor says excitedly.
As the two of you keep trailing on, you match her energy and run with her. She grins at you when she feels you keeping up. "That's it, babe."
You feel your face flush with warmth, still feeling slightly flustered everytime she praises or compliments you. She knew it too, and she loved seeing your reactions. This time, she seemed to have something else on her mind as she didn't continue her usual teasing 'session'. Instead, she slows down to a steady pace, circling over your thumb with hers.
Taylor squeezes your hand tighter, and clears her throat. You tilt your head up at her, your height difference still quite stark. She seems nervous as she glances all around your face. Starting with your starry eyes, focusing on one, then the other, moving down to your lips.
"What is it, sweetheart?" You ask softly, looking at her eyes.
"Uhm, well, okay first, just.. it's a bit more, come on," she takes you towards something bright in the distance, the waves casting a light mist over the coast. Upon approaching closer, you notice the glow coming from a little rattan gazebo covered in warm fairy lights. A sort of vine wraps around the four simple pillars, holding up the circular dome above. More foliage is spread around, including many red roses, your favorite. Bottles of champagne and two fancy wine glasses are on a circle-shaped table in the corner, set up next to a small speaker. A gentle instrumental plays, filling in the silence. It wasn't an awkward silence, there was something that you couldn't quite put into words.
Your heart flutters as you look over everything, and with a breathy voice you ask an obvious question,"Did you... do all this?"
Taylor hums slightly and nods, "Um, yeah... well I mean, I had a little bit of help," she chuckles, "But- it was uh, mostly me. Yeah."
"It's beautiful, sweetheart," you say softly, still in awe. The sun was hitting just right, making it all the more stunning.
The taller woman takes both of your hands in hers, guiding you to the center of her preparations. Her bright blue eyes trail over your features again as she speaks with seriousness, "Y/n."
