Still Waiting (Cake)

Chapter 2

Luke's POV

Lunch was great! Not the food, but the conversation. Calum's sort of shy, but he seemed to have gotten used to us after a while. He's silly, yet caring. I knew he would be a good new friend of mine.

I didn't have my next class with Calum, so as he left to his next class, I walked with Michael and Ashton to ours.

"Hey, you guys want to spend the night at my place?" Ashton asked with a smile.

Michael and I glanced at each other, and easily agreed with the offer.

As I pulled into Ashton's driveway, I felt a buzz in my pocket.

It was a text from Calum.

I gave him my number just in case he wanted to talk outside of school.

Hey Luke. Can we talk?

I stepped out of my car and I decided to reply.

To - Calum
Sure Calum. What's up?

I walked up to Ashton's door and I didn't even bother knocking. It was never a problem.

"Honey, I'm home!" I joked.

"Luke!" Michael and Ashton cheered in unison.

I felt another buzz in my pocket.

Thinking of you

To - Calum
Really? ;) That's a little forward.

From - Calum
No! I didn't mean it like that! I mean, I was thinking of you but I was also thinking of Ashton and Michael too. You know, In a friendly way is all. Nothing weird. I'm not forward. I have nothing to be forward about haha

To - Calum
Woah, calm down. No need to send a paragraph. I get it.

"Who are you texting so much?" Michael asked annoyed.

"Yeah, who?" Ashton chimed in. "Don't you wanna hang out with us?"

"Of course I do!" I said. "It's only Calum."

"You like him, don't you?" Michael asked, as if it was very obvious.

I bit my lip, as I felt my cheeks redden. "No..."

"Yeah you do! We can see it." Ashton scoffed.

I looked down, still feeling the blush on my cheeks. Do I like him?

"We just met." I said trying to avoid the question.

"So...?" Michael continued. "You already know so much about him. It's possible."
