Luke's POV

"Michael, Ashton!" I called as I walked towards the lunch table.

"Guess what!" I cheered.

"What is it?" They said in sync.

"I asked Calum to be my boyfriend, and he said YES! Isn't that great!?"

"Wow, Luke. That's great. Congrats!" Michael said.

"Yeah, congratulations! I didn't know you actually had it in you." Ashton chimed in.

"It's strange, though." Michael said.

"You've only known him for a month. And now you're together?"

"It might not end well."

Wow. They're as blunt as a kick in the shin.

"Aren't you guys happy for me?"

"Yes, of course we are Luke. I'm sorry, really." Michael apologized.

Ashton rubbed my back soothingly.

"We're really sorry if we made it seem like we don't support you. We do."

"No matter what, we'll always support you, we just want to be honest too."

Knowing that I had a long life ahead of me, it made me happy to know that they would be with me for that long.

"You guys are the best." I smiled.

-

It's been five months since Calum and I have started dating. We were inseparable. Entangled.

I just got off the phone with Calum. We both just agreed to coming out to our parents. So he's coming over. Calum said he already told his mom about us, and she knew he was gay for years. But I haven't even told my mom about me liking guys at all, so this is going to be really hard.

When Calum arrived at my place, he sat next to me at the table. I invited him over to eat dinner with us.

I guess, this is how I'm going to do this.

"Mom," I started as she walked over with trays of food.

Oh no, what am I supposed to do now?

"Yes, Luke?"

There was a long pause.

"Mom, I'm... Well I'm..." I just couldn't say it.

Calum placed his hand on mine.

I knew what I had to do.

"M-Mom, I-I'm bi..." I stuttered.
"And I... Have a boyfriend now."

I hung my arm around Calum.

"It's Calum."

She looked a little shocked at first, but then nodded in acceptance.

"Luke, you shouldn't ever be afraid to tell me anything." She said softly.

"If you're happy, then I am too. No matter what."

I felt so grateful at that moment.

We started eating. Calum told her a little bit about himself. We talked and laughed and it was fun. I didn't think it would be so easy.

Calum and I went up to my room after dinner and we stayed there cuddling. My head was buried into his neck, as our fingers interlocked.

"Luke..." Calum whispered.

"Yes Calum?" I lifted my head.

"Your voice is so beautiful. Do you sing at all? I want to hear it."

I hesitated for a moment.
