Still Waiting (Cake)

Chapter 4

Calum's POV

"Then do something about it." I heard Michael's voice as I walked from the bathroom and into the living room.

I walked slowly, almost tiptoeing.

I heard Luke's voice.

"I don't know guys."

He sounded serious.

"All I know is that I really like Calum."

What!? He likes me back? Oh Luke, if only you knew...

It was quiet for a few seconds, so I walked in, pretending that I haven't heard a thing.

"What'd I miss?"

"Nothing!" I heard Luke say.

Nothing? Oh it's something.

I was way too shy and scared to sit back next to Luke, I sat next to Ashton on the other side of the couch. I hope he didn't notice.

It was a Friday, so we ended up falling asleep around 3:00 in the morning maybe. I had a good time. And the whole time, knowing that Luke actually did like me back, it made me so happy the whole entire time. I couldn't tell him I felt the same way. Not just yet.

I woke up to the smell of breakfast. What's the occasion?

As I walked into the kitchen I saw Luke serving plates of eggs and pancakes.

"Morning Calum!" Luke greeted me as soon as he saw me.

"Did you do all this?" I asked with a huge grin.

Michael and Ashton both turned their heads towards me after hearing us two.

"Hey Calum." They both said in unison, once again.

I sat down at the table where Ashton and Michael were already stuffing their faces. Luke placed a plate in front of me. I ate right away.

It wasn't the best breakfast ever, but being there with Luke makes it 10 times better.

I can't believe he likes me. It's all so surreal.

"Well, I should probably be on my way now." Ashton stated.

"Me too." Said Michael.

"Yeah, me three." I said after them.

Once Ashton and Michael grabbed their things, they waved to us, and then headed out and into Michael's car.

With my book bag on my back, I headed to the door and Luke followed behind me. I turned to face him right at the doorway. We looked at each other with big smiles as I walked away.

He's too sweet, I thought to myself.

I do like him.. Maybe a little too much.

It's Sunday morning.

Luke just texted.

Hey Calum. Wanna hang out today?

To - Luke
Of course. But didn't I just spend the night?

From - Luke
Well, yeah but Ashton and Michael just went to the theater and I feel left out. I think they're dating haha
