Chapter 10

Calum's POV

Where's Luke?

He didn't show up to school today. That's not like him. He likes having perfect attendance.

So where is he...?
I hope he's okay.

The bell scared my thoughts away.

As soon as I left the class, I began to speed walk towards the front of the school where my car was.

I spotted Michael and Ashton, holding hands as they talked. But they looked a little sad.

"What's wrong, guys?" I asked walking towards them.

"You saw how Luke reacted after he saw us... You know..." Ashton spoke sadly.

"Wait..." I said.
"You didn't see him yesterday?"

"No..." Michael responded slowly.
"Why? Did he say something?"

"He said he was gonna-" I stopped to think.

"What? What did he say?"
They asked in sync.

"He was gonna apologize to you two yesterday." I bit my lip.

"Well, what stopped him?"

"I don't know guys..." I said confused. "I gotta go... I'll get to you guys later.

I rushed to my car, and right away, I pulled out my phone and dialed Luke's number.

No answer.

I decided to text him.

To - Luke
Luke? Where are you? Why weren't you at school?

No answer.

To - Luke
Luke, are you okay? Please answer. I know it's only been a day, but I miss you already. :-(
I miss looking into your beautiful blue eyes. I miss your warm hugs. I miss kissing your soft lips. I miss the feeling of my hand in yours. I miss you. But I'll still see you later, right?

No answer.

I quickly started my car and drove my way out of the parking lot of the school.

I'm gonna see if Luke's at his house. Where else would he be?

That's when I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

It was Luke.

"Hello, Luke?"

Or I thought it was.

"Actually C-Calum..."
Whoever it was, it sounded like he was crying.
"This is L-Luke's dad."

"Oh, uh, hello, uh, what's wrong sir?" I asked nervously.
