Theo had always feared that the string of commitment would feel like a noose around his neck, slowly tightening and squeezing the air from his throat. But being tied to Lyra felt the complete opposite. Belonging to her and having her belong to him felt like a fresh breath deep in his lungs every time he breathed her in. He wanted to proclaim to the world that she was his and he was hers.

"We need to tell Draco." Theo sighed, his hand gently combing through Lyra's hair. The two of them were curled up in her bed while Kaia was in Hogsmeade for the morning. Lyra's body fit into his perfectly, their legs twist together and heartbeats in sync.

"Is that really necessary?" Lyra groaned, stroking her thumb along the vein in his arm that was wrapped around her. "The sneaking around is kind of hot, isn't it?"

"Everything you do is hot." Theo chuckled into her ear, his lips nipped at the flesh. "But I want to be able to hold you whenever I want, to hold your hand down the halls, to kiss you at any moment- without being scared of your ferret faced brother."

Lyra let out a light laugh but a hint of unease crept into her stomach. She had no doubt her brother would have some type of reaction but when she pictured kissing Theo in the courtyard it wasn't Draco's reaction that left the pit in her belly, it was Blaise. She shook her head slightly if that would rid her mind of thoughts of another wizard while she was in her boyfriend's arms.

"Maybe he'll be happy for us." Theo said wistfully.

Lyra let out a doubtful scoff before turning over to face him.

"You're right, if this relationship is going to be real we can't keep sneaking around." She cupped his face in her palm, his bright eyes nearly glowing with happiness as he met her eyes. "We'll tell him tonight."

She gave Theo a deep kiss before hopping out of the bed, grabbing her discarded clothing off the ground.

"Where are you going?" Theo asked, the absence of her leaving a chill within him.

"To brew some healing potions." Lyra replied with a smirk.

Blaise was laying on his bed with his arms crossed when Theo returned to their dorm. Theo could tell by the absence of Blaise's light snore that he was awake despite his eyes being closed. Things had been frosty between them since Blaise had stumbled upon him and Lyra in the secret spot.

Theo was getting frustrated with his best mate. Blaise had no claim to Lyra, she had been there begging for his attention for years and he never had the balls to admit his feelings for her. Theo would take care of the precious witch ten folds better than Blaise ever would, and he would do anything it took to prove that.

What he and Lyra was real now, not some stupid game, and Blaise needed to see that.

"I love her, Blaise." Theo sighed, the palms of his hands pressing into his temples as he sat on the side of his bed.

Blaise remained silent, his shallow breathing the only sound in the room.

"I know you think I'm some playboy, incapable of truly loving a witch but it's not like that... not with her." Theo turned to face Blaise who finally opened his eyes, meeting his friend with an icy stare. "She's special."

"You don't think I know that." Blaise's voice was hoarse, he sat up and slid his long legs to the ground. "You don't think I know how utterly perfect she is in every way. You don't think I think of her every waking moment, wondering what it would be like to be good enough to be with her."

"So that's what it is then?" Rage filled Theo's veins, "You don't think I'm good enough to be with her?"

"Nobody is, Theo." Blaise breathed a resound sigh.
