Lisa had always needed clarity. A definition. A label. Something solid to hold onto.

But as she sat beside J-Hope, the city lights flickering like stars beneath them, she realized—she didn't need it anymore.

Not with him.

What they had was theirs. No rules. No expectations. No explanations.

J-Hope's words had settled deep inside her. They were together because they wanted to be. Because it felt right. Because they understood each other.

And that was enough.

She stood up, shaking off the cold, her heart feeling lighter than it had in months. A small smile lingered on her lips as she headed downstairs.

J-Hope watched her go, something tightening in his chest.

Lisa entered the lounge where her colleagues were gathered, a few of them looking up as she walked in.

"Someone looks way too happy for a regular workday," Jimin teased, eyeing her suspiciously.

Lisa smirked. "Maybe..."

Mark, who sat across from Jimin, laughed. "Bet it's because of the new batch. Must be good kids."

"Oh, please," Jimin scoffed. "Lisa wouldn't get this giddy over students." He leaned in, narrowing his eyes. "What's the real reason?"

Lisa shrugged, enjoying their curiosity.

Before she could answer, a familiar voice chimed in.

"Yeah, Lisa." J-Hope's tone was smooth, teasing. "Why don't you share with us?"

She didn't even need to turn around. She knew exactly who it was.

Lisa's smirk widened. Instead of responding, she simply turned on her heel and walked past them all without a word.

Jimin blinked. "Did she just—"

Mark frowned. "What the hell was that?"

J-Hope watched her disappear, a curious glint in his eyes. What was she up to?

Later that night, J-Hope found her standing on the rooftop, looking out over the city. The wind played with her hair, and for a moment, he just admired her in silence.

Then he walked over. "Tell me."

Lisa smirked without turning. "Nope."

"Come on."

"Not a chance."

J-Hope sighed dramatically. "Do I have to beg?"

Lisa finally turned, a wicked glint in her eyes. "Now that would be interesting."

J-Hope chuckled. "You were serious, weren't you?"

"About what?"

"That we don't need labels. That this..." He gestured between them. "Is enough."

Lisa leaned against the railing, tilting her head. "Why? Are you having second thoughts?"

J-Hope hesitated. "No. But... I just want to make sure you aren't."

Lisa studied him for a moment. "I was."

J-Hope stiffened.

"But not anymore."

His eyes searched her face. "You're sure?"

Lisa took a step closer. "I'm with you, Hobi. No matter what."

J-Hope exhaled, feeling something inside him settle... and at the same time, unravel.

He had thought he explained himself well, thought he had it all figured out. But now, he was the one second-guessing.

What if Lisa did want more later?
What if she needed things he wasn't sure he could give?

He wanted his career. His dreams. But he also wanted her.
He wanted Lisa beside him when the academy reached the stars.

And that scared the hell out of him.

Lisa nudged him. "You're thinking too hard."

J-Hope let out a small laugh. "I just realized something."

Lisa crossed her arms. "What?"

"We're a little messed up, aren't we?"

Lisa burst out laughing. "Oh, completely."

J-Hope grinned. "Good."

They stood there in silence for a moment, their fingers brushing lightly. Neither of them pulled away.

Then Lisa leaned in, lowering her voice. "By the way..."

J-Hope raised a brow.

"I'll be waiting for you tonight." Then she winked and turned to leave.

J-Hope sat there, absolutely frozen. "...Did she just—" His brain short-circuited. "Wait—did she really invite me for—"

Lisa was already halfway down the hallway when J-Hope scrambled to his feet. "Hey—wait! Lisa!"

She didn't stop. Instead, she glanced over her shoulder, smirking. "BBYE, Hobi."

J-Hope blinked, stunned for a second—then took off running after her.

Lisa smirked to herself.

"Silly guy."
