Its been a while now, everyone was engaged in their own world
Namjoon and Jin, though busy with their careers, always ensured their children knew they were their priority. However, with all their kids grown up—or at least mostly grown—they could breathe a little easier knowing Yoongi, J-Hope, and Jieun were reliable anchors holding everything together.
In the kitchen, Taehyung crossed his arms and glared at Jungkook, who was hastily wiping his mouth, leaving behind a telltale pink stain on his lips.
"Tae-hyung, enough already! I know you're training under the police academy, but that doesn't mean you can interrogate your brother like this!" Jungkook complained.
"You stole my strawberry milkshake, Jungkook! The evidence is right there on your lips and your T-shirt!" Taehyung pointed accusingly, his voice filled with mock seriousness.
Before Jungkook could retort, Jimin, ever the peacemaker, intervened. "Tae, why don't you just grab a new one from the fridge? I'll get it for you." He made a move to stand up.
"No! He needs to admit it first," Taehyung insisted, pulling Jimin back into his seat. "Besides, I was drinking from that one!"
Jimin sighed, rolling his eyes as he picked up his book again. "Fine. Solve it yourselves."
"Okay, fine!" Jungkook said with a dramatic huff. "I'll buy you a new one. Happy now?"
"So, you admit you stole it?" Taehyung smirked triumphantly.
"Never said that," Jungkook shot back. "But I'll still buy you one." He stood with mock dignity, turning to walk away—only to find himself suddenly shoved, landing face-first on the floor.
"I'm gonna kill you!" Jungkook shouted, glaring at Taehyung.
"And I'll put you behind bars!" Taehyung replied with a cheeky grin.
Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, J-Hope, and Jieun watched this spectacle from the living room, exchanging wide-eyed glances.
"Everything's manageable," Namjoon murmured. "But these two? They're toddlers trapped in adult bodies."
Yoongi sighed, standing up. "I'm off to work."
"What work?" Namjoon asked, curious.
"Jieun, Woozi, and I are working on a new song," Yoongi replied.
"Oh really?" Jin chimed in. "Are we invited to listen?"
Yoongi opened his mouth to respond, but Jieun smacked the back of his head before he could.
"Of course! Once it's done," she said with a bright smile. Jin patted her cheek playfully.
"That's my daughter," Jin declared proudly, earning an exaggerated eye roll from Yoongi.
"Come on," Yoongi grumbled, grabbing Jieun's hand and pulling her towards the door.
As they left, Jieun smirked. "You're starting to turn into them. Spending too much time with your family, maybe?"
"And yet, here you are, my girlfriend, always complaining," Yoongi teased as they buckled into the car.
Back in the house, Taehyung, Jungkook, and Jimin were now squeezed onto the couch. To be precise, Taehyung was on the left, Jungkook on the right, and poor Jimin sandwiched in the middle. Both brothers held one of Jimin's hands like territorial cats claiming their turf.
"Guys, let me go!" Jimin pleaded.
"Jungkook, let go of my soulmate's hand!" Taehyung demanded, pulling Jimin's left hand closer.
"You let go of my Jimin-hyung's hand first!" Jungkook shot back, gripping Jimin's other hand tighter.
Jimin mouthed a desperate "HELP" to J-Hope, who was standing by the door, trying to suppress a laugh.
