The sun peeked through Lisa's curtains, but she had no intention of waking up just yet. Wrapped in her blankets, she buried her face in her pillow, replaying last night's events in her head.
J-Hope. His teasing words. His touch. That stupid way he smiled after kissing her.
She groaned, rolling over to grab her phone.
No messages.
Lisa frowned. That was expected. May be one night was enough to get bored with but he doesnot seems bored in the morning.
She debated texting him but quickly dismissed the idea. Nope. Let him come to me.
She turned onto her other side. Then back again. Then onto her stomach.
Then—
Her phone buzzed.
J-Hope [7:45 AM]
"You're awake, right?" - Lisa smirked, biting her lip. Finally.
Lisa [7:46 AM]
"What if I'm not?"
J-Hope [7:47 AM]
"Then I'm talking to a ghost. Should I be scared?"
Lisa [7:48 AM]
"Very. I might haunt you forever."
J-Hope [7:49 AM]
"I'd like that." - Lisa stared at his message, blinking.
He always did this. Dropped little unexpected lines that made her heart stutter.
Lisa [7:50 AM]
"You're such a flirt."
J-Hope [7:51 AM]
"Only for you." - Lisa scoffed, but her smile lingered.
She was about to reply when her mother's voice rang through the house.
"Lisa, breakfast is ready! And don't forget you have practice later!"
Lisa groaned. "I don't have practice today, Mom!"
Her mother's response was quick. "Then why are you still home? Go out! Meet friends! Maybe visit that handsome Kim boy again?"
Lisa choked on her own saliva. She could practically hear the smirk in her mother's tone.
"Mom, I don't—"
"Breakfast first. Excuses later."
Lisa sighed dramatically and dragged herself to the dining room.
Her father was reading the newspaper as usual. Her mother, however, was watching her like a hawk.
"So," her mom started, sipping her tea. "Did you have fun last night?"
Lisa froze mid-bite. "Huh?"
"You came home late. Looking a little... flustered."
Lisa coughed, reaching for her water. "I was just... hanging out."
Her mother smirked. "We heard some chatting at night..."
Lisa nearly knocked over her glass. Her father, still focused on the newspaper, muttered, "Your mother did, not me."
Lisa groaned. "Can we not make stories.... Mom, please."
Her mother ignored her. "Okay, okay. Well, just so you know, I saw a video of him online. Very charming i must say"
Lisa rolled her eyes. "Mom, stop stalking my colleagues. And you literally met him yesterday."
Her mother laughed. "Just for five minutes." Lisa's phone buzzed again. She glanced down.
J-Hope [8:00 AM]
"Check your front door." Lisa frowned.
