Michaels gone home along with Auntie Jessie, and I'm at college.
I'm worried about Ruby, I don't want her, to do anything stupid, and I still want her to be a part of my life.
Today is averagely warm, I decided to wear navy skinny jeans, brown boots, white blouse, and a navy blazer. I don't even know what to think about anymore, my mind is a complete and utter blur.
I sigh, as Ash & Kate come up to me, hugging me.
"Ana!" They squeal, as we walk into town at lunch.
"Oh god, what is it," I laugh, and they smack me in the shoulder.
"The ball! Who are you taking?!" I roll my eyes instantly at the thought of buying a dress and wearing it, oh, and dancing.
"Michael, probably, I'm not sure yet, why do we have to go to this stupid college ball anyway?" I mumble, and they gasp sarcastically.
"Excuse me miss! we know you're not much of of a girly girl but it would be amazing if you could at least try to be excited for a ball.. Balls don't ever happen, they're like, vintage, which is no more!" They laugh, and I pick up a sandwich in tescos and snacks before making my way to the till.
I text Michael, asking him if he'd like to go; with me, and he said yes. Ashleigh and Kate gave me a list of ridiculous sites where I can buy a bloody ball gown from, not a big fan off poofy dresses, high heels, and masks, if I'm honest.
I give my mum a kiss on the cheek before scrolling online for a dress, and I decided to go for a soft long dress, which is backless and droops, hugs the curves and then pools at the feet. It is a blood red colour, and will go perfectly with my hair, I suppose. I chew on my bottom lip as I buy it, that's a good £140 out of my pocket!
The week goes by averagely slow, still nothing from Ruby, but I haven't text her, and she hasn't text me.
It's Saturday now, and The ball's coming up this evening, and Michael should be here in an hour.
I sigh, as I feel the dress on my body, it looks nice, but I've never been one to have a lot of confidence. I've curled my hair so it has subtle loose curls, and applied light makeup, with blood red matte lipstick and black scrappy heels to complete the look. I put on some silver dangled earings before tying my red and black masquerade mask over my face, before walking downstairs.
Michael is wearing a black, classy tailored suit, with a wine red hanker chief tucked neatly in his front pocket to accommodate me. I smile, as he looks at me with parted lips.
"Ahhhhh!" My mum squeals in excitement as she instantly starts fiddling with my hair and dress, adjusting everything.
"Muuuummmmm," I grunt, and Michael stands there smiling.
"Picture time!" She cheers, and pulls out her iPhone, struggling greatly to take a few photos.
"I can't describe how you look, Anastasia, you take my breath away," Michael murmurs to me, as my mum waves us goodbye from the front door and we make our way to his car.
"Thank you," I blush, as he opens the car door for me.
We arrive to the ball, and it is set in a castle, which the college somehow managed to afford to rent the hall out for a few hours. It was a proper ball hall, chandeliers hung from the ceiling and the wall was so beautifully painted with culture, art, it was astonishing. Beige round tables was set around the outskirts of the hall, a bouquet of roses stood in the middle, with plates which you could go and help yourself to the buffet of food which was in the corner. I couldn't barely recognise anyone with these masks and dresses on, but Ashleigh and Kate soon enough found me. I wonder where Sam is?
