-Previously on Running for 1300 Years-
"Beards and bedsteads! Maybe that horn worked after all" Trumpkin said in amazement.
"What horn?" Susan questioned.
"Don't you remember Susan? If you blow into your horn, help will come" I said trying for her to remember.
-And now on Running for 1300 years-
Leona's POV,
I have explained everything to the Pevensies. Why I have been running, what the Telmarines are and what has happened in the 1300 years. We were on a boat with Peter rowing the boat, I was sitting next Edmund, my love. Lucy and Susan were looking around the view above them.
"They're so still," Lucy said.
"They're trees. What'd you expect?" Trumpkin questioned.
"They used to dance." Lucy reminded him.
"Wasn't long after you left the Telmarines invaded. Those who survived retreated to the woods and the trees," he stopped, choosing his words carefully. "They retreated so deep into themselves that they haven't been heard from since."
"I don't understand! How could Aslan have let this happen?" Lucy asks herself.
"Aslan?" he turned towards the youngest one. "Thought he abandoned us when you lot did."
What did he just say? Don't you dare talk about my father like that! "My father would never do that! He cares very much about Narnia as much as we all do!"He just glared at me then looked away.
"We don't mean to leave, you know," Peter tried to reason with him reasoned.
"Makes no difference now, does it?"
"Get us to the Narnians, and it will," Peter said. We get across the river quickly. Edmund helps me out of the boat like a gentleman. Susan, Peter, Edmund and I pull the boat out of the water.
"Hello there," Lucy said happily. We all turn our heads and let go of the boat. It was a black wild bear. Lucy closer to the bear like it was a Narnian. "It's alright. We're friends!" Lucy reminds him but I strongly think that he doesn't.
"Don't move your majesty!" Trumpkin suggested. The bear starts running for Lucy. Lucy starts running away but the bears follow.
"Stay away from her!" Susan ordered but the bear didn't listen. Lucy falls down and I sprung into action. I kneel down next to her and hold her in my arms with my back to the bear.
"Shoot Susan shoot!" Edmund screamed.
Lucy gives a scream of fear. The bear stands on its back two feet ready to attack but gets shot by an arrow. Both Lucy and I look over and see that Susan didn't shoot the arrow. It was Trumpkin. Lucy and I sit back up.
"Are you alight your majesty?" I ask checking her face very worried. She nods and hugs me with no hesitation. I do the same thing.
"Why wouldn't he stop?" Susan ask.
"I suspect he was hungry," Trumpkin answer walking forward. Everyone runs to us and helps us up. Edmund holds me for comfort.
"Thanks," Lucy said to Trumpkin. He looks and nods. "Thanks, Leo."
"Anything to project you Lu," I said.
"He was wild," Edmund stated.
"I don't think he could talk at all," Peter guessed.
"You're right Peter," I said.
"Get treated like a dumb animal long enough, that's what you become. You may find Narnia a more savage place then you remember," Trumpkin explained then started cutting into the beast. Lucy cried a bit then looked away.
