Jersey was in the parking lot of the Bridgestone Tower building, rummaging through her bag when her car key slipped from her hand and fell to the ground. As she bent down to retrieve it, she suddenly froze.

A man nearby was talking on the phone, his voice low but urgent. Instinctively, Jersey crouched behind her car, listening intently.

"So, what's the new plan?" the man asked.

The person on the other end of the call responded, his tone sharp. "We need to kidnap Maxim."

Jersey's breath caught in her throat. **Kidnap Maxim?!** She pressed herself closer to the car, straining to hear more.

"But what about Luna?" the man asked.

The voice on the phone replied, "They're still investigating her disappearance, but we have a good plan. I think they really believe Charlestone is the suspect."

The man let out a short laugh. "So, it's working. Just make sure I don't end up in prison. You know what I need-just pay me."

Jersey's heart pounded in her chest. **Who were these men? And what did they really know about Luna's disappearance?**

She knew she had to act fast.

Jersey Nickerton quickly reached for her phone in her bag, her hands trembling as she dialed Maxim's number.

Meanwhile, Maxim Collin and Detective Darnell were deep in discussion about their case when Maxim's phone suddenly rang. Seeing Jersey's name on the screen, he hurriedly answered.

"Jersey? Hey, why are you calling?" he asked, sensing urgency in her voice.

"Maxim," Jersey whispered, her voice laced with tension. "There's someone in my workplace talking on the phone. I overheard their conversation... They were talking about you and Luna. They're here in Bridgestone Tower."

Maxim immediately straightened. "What? Did you record their conversation?"

"Yes," Jersey confirmed. "I have the whole thing on video."

Maxim exchanged a look with Detective Darnell before responding, "Good job, Jersey. Listen, stay where you are and keep quiet. We're on our way."

Jersey nodded to herself, gripping her phone tightly. "Alright. I'll be careful."

Maxim ended the call and turned to Darnell. "We need to get to Bridgestone Tower. Now."

Darnell grabbed his coat. "Let's move."

With urgency in their steps, they rushed out, knowing this could be the breakthrough they had been waiting for.

Maxim Collin and Detective Darnell Sherwood carefully stepped into the dimly lit parking lot of Bridgestone Tower. Their eyes scanned the area as they moved with precision, their hands close to their weapons.

Suddenly, they spotted the man Jersey had described. He stood near a car, looking around as if waiting for someone.

Darnell, positioned on the other side, whispered, "Maxim, the girl who called us-she's over here."

Maxim turned his gaze and followed Darnell's line of sight. Jersey was crouched behind her car, tense and watching the man.

The moment Jersey spotted them, she hurriedly stepped forward, but the man noticed her movement. In a flash, he lunged, gripping her arm tightly and pressing a gun to her side.

Jersey gasped, her voice shaking. "Maxim, help me!" she cried, trying to break free.

Maxim and Darnell immediately raised their guns.
