The morning sun bathed the city in a golden hue as Charlestone Hendrick sat in his study, sipping his coffee. A knock at the door interrupted his thoughts. It was his lawyer, stepping in with a composed yet slightly triumphant expression.

"Mr. Hendrick," the lawyer began, "I have news for you. Maxim Collin has officially withdrawn the case. He will not continue the charges against you."

Charlestone's eyes widened in surprise, then softened with relief. "So he finally knows I'm not the suspect?"

"Yes," the lawyer confirmed with a nod. "He realized the truth, and with that, he had no reason to pursue the case any further. You should be grateful."

Charlestone exhaled deeply, a weight lifting from his chest. "Truly, I am. The truth has finally revealed itself."

The lawyer smiled. "Then be happy, Mr. Hendrick. The storm has passed."

For the first time in what felt like forever, Charlestone allowed himself to smile. The dark cloud of suspicion that had loomed over him was gone. Now, he could move forward without the shadow of false accusations.

But deep inside, a lingering thought remained-if Maxim had uncovered the truth, then **who** was truly behind it all?

The grand hall of justice buzzed with quiet murmurs as people took their seats, preparing for the proceedings ahead. The air carried a sense of anticipation, a weight of expectation that made every movement feel significant.

Then, the doors creaked open.

Luna McKelly and Maxim Collin stepped inside.

A hush fell over the room. Time itself seemed to slow as all eyes turned toward them. Their presence was undeniable-Luna, with her quiet grace, and Maxim, with his unwavering determination. Together, they walked down the aisle, past rows of curious onlookers, each step echoing against the polished floor.

Their gazes remained forward, unreadable, as they made their way to their designated seats. As they finally settled in place, the murmurs resumed, a whisper of speculation filling the room.

Something important was about to happen.

The judge adjusted his glasses and glanced at the documents before him. His expression remained unreadable as he finally lifted his gaze.

"This court is now in session," he declared, his voice firm and authoritative.

Luna stole a glance at Maxim, who sat beside her, his face composed but tense. She could sense the weight of the moment pressing down on him. Across the room, Layne Timberlake sat with his lawyer, his posture straighter than usual, as if bracing for what was to come.

The prosecution attorney stood, clearing his throat before addressing the court. "Your Honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, today we seek to uncover the truth. The evidence before us will reveal what truly transpired."

A murmur rippled through the courtroom, but it quickly subsided under the judge's sharp gaze.

Maxim's hands clenched slightly on the table. This was it. The moment that would determine everything.

Luna took a slow breath, steadying herself. No matter what, the truth had to come out.

The trial had begun.

Luna McKelly sat at the witness stand, her hands resting in her lap as she faced the lawyer. The courtroom was silent, waiting for her testimony.

The lawyer stepped forward. "Miss McKelly, is it true that you suffered from amnesia?"
