Chapter 18

Thea's POV:

Hayley, Freya and I were waiting for Davina and Enzo while Jeremy, Josh and Ever were helping the wolves get into the truck. 

"Hey Eve, do you have the contact information of the wolves families, like partners, siblings, parents or someone, who might come back here to meet them and could get in trouble. I want you to inform them about your move so they know where to meet them just in case." I asked Eve. 

"Oh yeah there is, I usually keep a small notepad with all their information in case of emergencies." She took the notepad out of her bag. 

"Hayley, text all the numbers that the wolves are moving and you will inform them of the new address once you all are settled and never under any circumstance come to New Orleans until you mention anything." Hayley nodded and informed them. She also asked them to meet her once the pack gets settled in the new place.

 By the time the families had been informed, the wolves all got into the moving truck. I think them leaving now would be better than waiting for us, so I turned towards Hayley and said "Hayley, why don't you guys leave now. After the spell is broken we will start. It's better for at least half of us to start earlier and get out of this place if things go wrong. You have the address I gave you right, give it to the driver and start, we will catch up with you guys and text you when we leave New Orleans."

 Hayley looked unsure and asked "Are you sure? What if something happens and you need help?" 

I smiled at her concern and replied "Hey don't worry we will be fine. I have Enzo, Freya and Jeremy to help me, so you guys go ahead." Hayley nodded and the three got into the truck next to the driver. The truck started and they left.

 I turned towards the path I gave Enzo and heard crunching of leaves that stopped right in front of me. I removed the cloaking spell on them and placed the invisibility spell on the place we are in.

 Davina and I started helping Freya set the palace up for the spell to be performed when Enzo asked Jeremy "Where are Hayley, Josh, Eve and the wolves, baby Gilbert?" Jeremy rolled his eyes and replied "Thea told them to start earlier for safety reasons and they left right before you arrived with Davina." Enzo nodded and the two kept an eye out just in case. 

"Okay Davina everything is arranged to break your connection, all you have to do is sleep in the salt ring and close your eyes. Don't open them no matter what." Freya informed Davina strictly while Davina nodded. 

"Jeremy put Davina's and Eve's Bags in the car and start the car, once the connection breaks we get in and leave. Since we are doing this near the border it is safe and we can leave soon." I told Jeremy, and he started doing what I told him. 

"This is a very simplified spell. The person who sent this to you didn't want you to spend much time on this." Freya said while concentrating on the spell. 

Freya and I held hands and started the spell. The wind picked up, and we could feel something trying to interfere with the spell, probably the ancestors and the witches. Davina started yelling and the wind started moving around us violently. We couldn't see anything and it was getting hard. All of a sudden everything stopped. The wind was normal and Davina's scream stopped.

 ""It's done, the connection broke, Davina, how do you feel?" Freya asked Davina. 

"I feel normal, just tired, very, very tired." She replied. 

"Can you do any magic?" I asked her, she nodded her head and lit the salt circle on fire then fainted. Enzo caught her before she could fall.

 I turned towards them and said "Guys we need to leave asap. Freya get in the car, Enzo put Davina in the car and get in." While the three got in the car, I turned towards the place the spell happened and ruined any proof it had happened. The traces of magic that helped the connection break will also fade in a few minutes.
