(Verse 1)
I walk along the old stone path,
Where we once laughed, where we once danced.
The echoes whisper through the trees,
Like faded songs in autumn's breeze.
(Pre-Chorus)
Time rolls on like waves that never cease,
Washing over all the memories.
But even though you're gone, you're never far,
You're still the light behind my scars.
(Chorus)
You're a river under the bridge,
Flowing through the cracks of what we lived.
I hear your voice in every tide,
A love that lingers, never dies.
Though the current pulls me on,
Your heart still sings in every song.
(Verse 2)
I trace my steps where footprints fade,
Through seasons lost, through years we made.
The stars above still shine the same,
But the world has changed without your name.
(Pre-Chorus)
Time rolls on like waves that never cease,
Washing over all the memories.
But even though you're gone, you're never far,
You're still the light behind my scars.
(Chorus)
You're a river under the bridge,
Flowing through the cracks of what we lived.
I hear your voice in every tide,
A love that lingers, never dies.
Though the current pulls me on,
Your heart still sings in every song.
(Bridge)
And maybe love is like pouring rain,
Falling soft, then lost again.
But every drop that meets the stream,
Still carries traces of our dreams.
(Final Chorus)
You're a river under the bridge,
A quiet soul beneath the ridge.
Though time has tried to pull me free,
You'll always be a part of me.
And if the waves should call my name,
I'll meet you there beyond the rain.
(Outro)
I walk along the old stone path,
Where we once laughed, where we once danced...

Backstory: The title "River Under the Bridge" came to me when I was reflecting on the phrase "water under the bridge," which usually means moving on from the past. But instead of something being completely gone, I imagined a river still flowing beneath a bridge—never truly disappearing, just continuing in a different way. I wanted this to be a ballad because the genre captures deep emotions, storytelling, and heartfelt melodies. A ballad allows the lyrics to paint vivid images of love, loss, and nostalgia, making "River Under the Bridge" a song that feels timeless—like memories that never truly fade, just like a river that keeps flowing.
