EMMA'S POV

"I'm gonna go shower." He says unsettlingly. He probably felt what I felt in that kiss, which is scaring both of us. "You can join if you'd like." He turns around and winks at me before shutting the door behind him.

I sit up in the bed, smiling from ear-to-ear, biting my lip as I felt nothing but giddiness inside me.

I wanted to join him in the shower, but I felt as if I were frozen in my place in these, hot sheets.

My thoughts are interrupted when I hear the front door bell ring, causing me major confusion. I don't bother telling Jack, I just grab Jack's button- up shirt off the floor, that I proudly threw earlier, and slip it on. After putting on panties, the knocks continue so I don't bother with my shorts as I rush to the door.

When I reach the door and open it up, I feel as if my heart completely stopped right there, right now.

"Emma?" Says a confused, and on-edge Cameron standing frozen in place in front of me.

"Hey babe." I try playing this as cool as possible, attempting confidence.

"What are you doing here?" He began to panic. I could see it in his eyes. Crap.

"I could ask you the same thing...."

"I was just hanging out with Jack. We just got done watching a movie." I lie convincingly enough to stop the questions from digging any deeper.

"Then why are you wearing no pants and his shirt?" His voice heightens, as if he's beginning to put pieces together. "You know this looks really as right, Em?!"

"Calm down! We were laughing at one point so hard that I accidentally spilled my drink on my shirt and pants and he allowed me to borrow his shirt while mine is in the dryer." Wow, I could be an actress...

The panic in his eyes slowly rested to relief and a little of embarrassment.

"Sorry to almost accuse of something I know you'd never do, but you know what happened with my last girlfriend."

His words felt like a stab to the heart. I was being a real b*tch, taking advantage of him like this. I wish I would've never started anything with him. It wasn't fair to him.

I take a deep breath, followed by clearing my throat nervously. "What do you mean? W-what happened to your last girlfriend?" I began to choke up.

"Remember Chelsea? She cheated on me for more than a year and was really just using me for sex because her real boyfriend, I guess you could say, was underage."

"Oh, I-i don't remember at all. But, um, what are you doing here?" I quickly change the subject.

"Oh! I was just wondering if Jack was free to just go chill at Taylor's pool. Everyone except Taylor seemed to be busy tonight." He shrugs.

Just before I could give him an answer for Jack, he walks up behind me right on cue, staring Cameron down as he notices my uneasy state.

"Hey man, what's going on?" He says leaning on the door frame. His tall figure towering over me.

I could smell his sexy smelling body wash and shampoo. Most likely axe. It gave me an arousing feeling in the pit of my stomach, making me block out the current awkwardness of Cameron's presence for a couple seconds.

"Just dropped by to see if you wanted to come over to Taylor's pool but it seems that you got your hands full with my girl." Cameron responds smirking at me.

My eyes quickly dart up to catch Jack's confused and a little angry, facial expression as he processes the words, 'my girl'. I watch his jaw clench giving me yet another arousing feeling. I never told him about what I was doing with Cameron yet. I actually never planned on it. It wasn't something that I was proud of and never wanted to get out there. Especially to my best friend who happens to have the most amazing 'arrangement' with me.

"Yeah. You're girl." He fake laughs but convincing enough for Cam. "But I'll make sure to return... you're girl, tomorrow." He paused to clear his throat as if the words were poison.

He ends in a cocky smirk at Cameron and makes eye contact with me for a quick second and darts his head back away from me. I knew this was going to be a problem for me as soon as this door shuts.

Cameron stares me down with an indifferent expression and sighs, clearing away the awkward silence between the 3 of us.

"Well, I'm gonna get going. See you tomorrow babe." He smiles at me as if nothing happened.

I watch as his tall figure leans down to try and meet my lips but I have just enough time to prepare and turn my head so his soft lips land on my cheek. He looks at me confused and waves goodbye to Jack.

The door shuts behind him, and I walk back into the house, sitting on the kitchen bar stool, feeling like I was about to be punished. It felt like I was just told to go to the principal's office and I was doing my walk of shame. As I sit on the stool, staring at my feet, I catch a glimpse of a shirtless Jack walking into the kitchen, in the corner of my eye. He ignores me and paces to the fridge, grabbing a beer. How he gets beer when he's only 20... I still can't figure out.

"Jack?"

"What Emma? What could you possibly want to talk about?!" He asks rhetorically raising his voice a little.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you!" I quickly jump into an apology because I really had no wanting of giving him my explanation behind this.

He pauses as he takes a giant, frustrated swallow out of his bottle and sets it down roughly on the marble counter.

"Why?"

Sh*t

"To be honest, I much rather not explain."

"Well if you don't, we'll have to end whatever this is. I can't make one of my best friend's girlfriend cheat on him with me, then lie right to his face!" His voice intensifies as his sentence continues on.
"And if you can't tell, I really don't want to stop... this. What we just did tonight was something I never had with anyone." His voice calms, but I could tell he wasn't finished.
"To be able to still talk like we're best friends but then f*ck like we're...." He pauses, unable to finish because of a settle chuckle. I knew what he wanted to say though.

"...like a couple?" I finish for him as the room goes quiet.

He laughs a little embarrassed unable to say it. It was cute. "Yeah. That."

The room fills with silence once again, but it was a much needed silence. It gave him and I, time to process. He leans over the counter between us and meets me half way, resting a gentle kiss on my lips. We move in sync with each other slowly and passionately.

Every kiss we have seems to get better and better, making me feel more and more confused. I needed to end things with Cameron even though they just began. Why you ask... Because Jack is giving me everything I need.
